An interaction with the new batch at the Centre for Human Rights & Duties, Panjab University, was held after the screening of the National Award-winning film, "Admitted."
The film, which focuses on transgender human rights, education, and social inclusion, was screened on September 15, 2025, as part of the orientation program for the new batch (2025–2026).
The screening was followed a post-screening discussion with the film's director Shri Ojaswwee Sharma; transgender activist and role model, Dhananjay Chauhan; Dr. Upneet Kaur Mangat, Chairperson of the department; and Dr. Namita Gupta, Dean of Student Welfare and former Chairperson of the department.
Admitted won the 'Special Jury Mention' at the 68th National Film Awards, and was filmed at the Panjab University.
राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेता फिल्म "एडमिटेड" की स्क्रीनिंग के बाद, पंजाब विश्वविद्यालय के मानवाधिकार एवं कर्तव्य केंद्र में नए बैच के साथ एक संवाद कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया।
यह फिल्म, जो ट्रांसजेंडर मानवाधिकारों, शिक्षा और सामाजिक समावेश पर केंद्रित है, नए बैच (2025-2026) के लिए अभिविन्यास कार्यक्रम के तहत 15 सितंबर, 2025 को प्रदर्शित की गई।
स्क्रीनिंग के बाद फिल्म के निर्देशक श्री ओजस्वी शर्मा; ट्रांसजेंडर कार्यकर्ता और आदर्श, धनंजय चौहान; विभाग की अध्यक्ष डॉ. उपनीत कौर माँगट; और छात्र कल्याण की डीन एवं विभाग की पूर्व अध्यक्ष डॉ. नमिता गुप्ता के साथ एक चर्चा हुई। "एडमिटेड" ने 68वें राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कारों में 'स्पेशल जूरी मेंशन' जीता और इसका फिल्मांकन पंजाब विश्वविद्यालय में हुआ।
