With Dahmer Construction (aka Steel Tek)'s commercial-grade craftsmanship and designer Kali Buchanan’s discerning eye and harmonious material palette, the result is both rooted in nature and gracefully composed.

That sense of clarity carries through every detail—from limestone walls to full-height windows—each element selected with care to maintain a calm, cohesive dialogue with the land. It’s a home that doesn’t shout. It listens. ✨

𝑯𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝑨𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒔 𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒓 — 𝑲𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒕𝒕 𝑹𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒙 🏛️🔁🏡 Originally crafted by pivotal modernist firm Kivett and Myers, the Jane Whitney Residence has been thoughtfully reimagined by Forward Design-Architecture, merging historic intent with modern clarity.

After two earlier additions disrupted the home’s rhythm, a carefully placed 200-square-foot extension restored architectural cohesion. What began as a compact one-bed, two-bath dwelling now stands as a luminous three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath retreat—where restoration and reinvention meet in balance.

Though this year’s 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒔 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 was paused, the event is expected to return in 2026 during KC Design Week—celebrating transformative spaces like this one and more. ✨
