New Signings just announced!

Grimsby and Chris have announced that 4 players will be following Chris from Liverpool U21s to join Grimsby first team as part of the affiliate program!

James Norris LB (60) - Chris said during the interview Norris will be an integral part to this team, he’s developed extremely well under my time as Liverpool U21s coach and he’s earned the right for first team football, I expect him to settle into this league with ease and show everyone what this young 19 year old is capable of.

Nat Phillips CB (73) - Chris said he’s worked previously with Nat during however, Nat is a leader on and off the pitch, to have him here at Grimsby for 12months will help our chance for promotion. I expect the 25 year old to grasp this short opportunity and break through into the starting XI on his return to Liverpool.

Billy Koumetio CB (63) - Billy is a strong strong CB, I expect massive things from billy, his development has been through the roof at Liverpool, he’s a young man with very very high potential. I hope that after his loan here at Blundell park he can achieve greatness that he is surely destined for.

Stefan Bajcetic CDM (69) - Stefan comes here as one of our most important players for the long season ahead, Stefan may only be 17 but he’s a skilful young man who reads the game like no other. I know he will bring a masterclass performance to every game!

Last save on Fifa 23 follow the Journey of Chris Mcknight!

Huge announcement, Grimsby Town football club have announced Chris Mcknight as the new head coach, Chris is delighted to have the opportunity to move on from U21 football in hope to thrive in a new challenge.

Chris previously worked for Liverpool U21 and U18 side, during the announcement Grimsby also revealed that they have joined the affiliate list of Liverpool that has allowed Chris to bring in a number of players he’s developed at Liverpool for some first team action, this deal is thought to have fetched in £10million over the next 4 years.

During a press conference Chris announced that “I will definitely be making a number of changes to this team in hope that we can finish mid table or push for a promotion this year”

Outstanding performance by Kelleher he was unbeatable today, We played with a huge youth side today and Kelleher showed us why he is next in line after Alison today, he not only saved Liverpool of an equaliser he won the game for us today. Congratulations to Ricky who managed to bag himself an early winner brilliant well worked goal. Our team seemed to have just sat back and let Coventry attack afterwards. They had more shots and more possession, so we need to dig deep on the training ground to be ready for our next fixture.

What an outstanding team goal to kick the game off, defending from the back and straight on the counter attack. Just lovely one touch football with diaz there to slot it into the bottom right corner at the end, that’s how goals should look. Nunez goal was also exceptional with a cheeky chip of the defence and a volley to finish within the box. Henderson jumps at the loose ball with a nice pass to nunez on the outside of the box for him to turn and shoot. Salah goes for a run straight from kick off, smashes the ball from 30 yards out straight into the top corner, that was a wordlie of a goal, he’s definitely in contention for goal of the season with that.

Brentford goal, Trent clears the ball only to find a Brentford player on the other end, who plays it out wide to haygarth, delivers a brilliant ball into the box to vinas’ feet to hit the woodwork and Henderson then makes a massive error in clearing the ball to Cristian eriksen who plays it to wissa, wissa smashed the ball and it hits the bar and in. Goal line technology working to its best there.

It was great to see Bah have a run out today for his debut game, admittedly he made a few mistakes and Leeds exploited his side of the pitch on numerous occasions but Bah is still young and has much to learn, meslier (Leeds GK) was on top form again today he is definitely one to watch for the future.
Nunez started of the game a little out of touch but found his feet pretty quick and managed to score and assist in todays game. Brilliant display.
