I am sitting here tonight reflecting on the fact that there is no longer respect for our fellow men. Anyone who knows me knows that I am very open if I have an opinion on a topic, and I will more than happily state my opinion and stand behind it if anyone asks, but more important than giving my two cents in a situation, I also believe in respecting your fellow men and their opinions. I have friends with different religious views, political views, and morals from me, and yet they are still a big part of my life because, in 2025, we should be able to have a conversation with each other without resorting to violence. We should be able to talk to people from "the other side" of the belief system without it starting an argument.
Realizing that I am only 6 years younger than Charlie Kirk resonates strongly with me. It doesn't matter your age, how you look, or what you think; people are still going to disagree with you. People are always going to have differing opinions from you, but at the end of the day, the important thing to remember is that we can learn something from someone who doesn't agree with us.
I shared this statement to my story on my Instagram page. At the end of the day, we as a country and as a world need help. History will keep repeating itself over and over again as long as we continue to lose our way.... the way we used to come together and take care of our fellow man when the world has a major crisis.
And tonight, more than anything, I’m praying over this. Praying for unity, for clarity, and for compassion to find its way back into our hearts. I’m praying that we remember what it means to truly love our neighbor, even when they don’t look, live, or think like we do. We need more than just opinions right now; we need grace, wisdom, and guidance, and I believe that starts with turning to something greater than ourselves.
United we stand, divided we fall.
