The latest Arri Updates

"ARRI’s discussions with filmmakers and a careful review of the image pipeline have led to significant image quality enhancements and a faster, easier workflow. REVEAL Color Science is a completely new image processing chain used by ALEXA 35 internally and available for ARRIRAW from ALEXA 35, ALEXA LF, and ALEXA Mini LF in postproduction.

In a series of posts, we’ll take a detailed look the individual components of REVEAL Color Science.

The first step is the ARRI Debayer Algorithm ADA-7. A Debayer algorithm reconstructs color from the raw sensor data; it converts ARRIRAW into camera-native RGB image data. ADA-7 is a powerful new algorithm that minimizes aliasing on edges and contouring artefacts. Benefits therefore include sharper, cleaner images and easier blue/greenscreen compositing.
