🎬✨ Soundtracks from scratch. Let's dive in to the brilliant fantasy world of 'Elegancia' ✨🎬

Written, directed and starred in by the ever brilliant this film follows a misguided filmmaker who’s pulled into a dark fairytale world of her own creation – a place where the dance never stops.

Location recording issues meant the soundscape had to be almost entirely built from the ground up. We worked with the fantastic team at to help with the ADR and VO recording and then worked to build a fantasy world to bring the audience into – where they to can succumb to the dance!

From set design to choreography and ADR sessions to a totally bespoke score, this project was beautifully ambitious and a huge undertaking for all departments and it was a joy to see it on the big screen in all it's glory – an absolutely fantastic effort from all involved! 👏👏👏

7️⃣⬆️ Let’s take a quick look at music edits – starting with this work for 7UP! 7️⃣⬆️

A slick music edit isn’t just about making the track fit – it’s about elevating engagement. When the music snaps to the visuals and matches the energy properly, everything lands harder. The audience might not notice what’s changed, but they’ll definitely feel it.

Compare that to dropping a linear stock track under a video – the difference is immediately obvious.

I'll be sharing some before/after breakdowns soon to show the contrast in full. But for now, here’s a look at the piece I created for Studio photoshoot and videography for – where the music locks in tight to drive momentum and maximise impact.

🎥✨ Looking back at one of my favourite recent projects – Progeny! ✨🎥

I 𝒂𝒃𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒅 working on this one.

Not only was this film a brilliantly conceived and executed project, but it provided an incredible opportunity to push my creative boundaries, as well as test my skills as a sound designer and audio post-producer.

The quality of production; from the set design, to the acting and the quality directing from Nicole Pott - Film Director, meant the pressure was on to deliver in post-production.

It pushed every department to their limit. It required creative solutions, to go above-and-beyond and creative collaboration from the very start of the process.

𝐵𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒 ℎ𝑜𝑤 𝑒𝑙𝑠𝑒 𝑑𝑜 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑡 𝑎 𝑓𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑠𝑦-ℎ𝑜𝑟𝑟𝑜𝑟 𝑡𝑜 𝑎 𝑙𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑙 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑡ℎ𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑖𝑔 𝑠𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑛?

Without that teamwork we wouldn’t have been able to achieve what we did.

The amazing music score from [Richard Collins] and the superb VFX work by [Lee Watson and co.] came together brilliantly with the sound design and mix to really deliver in the post-production department and create a truly compelling cinematic experience.

When you put everything together it’s no surprise it's been selected for numerous film festivals and won best-horror at the BIFA qualifying North-East International Film Festival, as the hard work and dedication are clear to see.

🎥✨ Let’s take a look at Keyloop ARP – created with the team at back in December '24! ✨🎥

Working closely with creative director Jordan Armitage [], the goal was to craft a slick animated piece where music and visuals were tightly interwoven – bringing Keyloop’s new service offering to life for a playful, engaging presentation video.

Keyloop is a forward-thinking, high-tech global automotive retail platform, so the video needed to carry enough energy and polish to reflect that identity.

We took inspiration from iconic pieces like Apple’s "Don’t Blink" and Honda’s "Keep Up" – using precisely synced text, visuals, and sound to drive the message home. 🎧

🎥✨ Looking back at a promo piece I worked on with Studio photoshoot and videography! ✨🎥

Whilst it's an older project, it's one that still holds a special place on my portfolio. Not only did I enjoy making it, I love how it turned out – it was an experiemental approach so you can't always be sure!

The target was all about reimagining music as sound design – crafting somerhing of a continuous musical thread while embedding it with textural elements and pacing techniques that mimicked the action on screen. It was a chance to push boundaries, experiment with structure, and explore a different kind of creative flow.

🎥✨ Looking back at one of my first film projects—'Firefly'! ✨🎥

It was a real joy to work on this powerful short, which follows the story of Frankie, a deaf girl navigating life with an increasingly abusive step-mum after her dad leaves to work on an oil rig.

The sound design and audio post were crucial in shaping Frankie’s world—creating a soundtrack that immerses the audience in her perspective and conveying her unique perspective.🎧

The post-production process came with its own challenges, but it’s been hugely rewarding to see Firefly doing so well on the festival circuit:

🎥✨ Looking back at an oldie but a goodie—my BEFORE / AFTER video for 36 Days of Type 2022! ✨🎥

Created in collaboration with the mighty talented James Millington, this was all about pushing creative boundaries whilst exploring new software. The challenge? Using only mouth and voice-generated sounds to build the entire soundscape. 🎤

I used this opportunity as a deep dive into Cargo Cult’s Envy 2, a powerful sound design tool that maps the sonic envelope (how sound behaves over time) of one sound onto another. It allows you to hear one sound whilst giving the impression of another, creating incredible audio hybrids.

The potential blew me away, and Envy 2 has been a core part of my workflow ever since.

For me, R&D projects like this are all about experimentation—broadening my skill set, refining my tools, and keeping my approach fresh and intriguing. 🎧

🎥✨ Looking back at some bold sound design for a Philips razor product video! ✨🎥

The aim? To make the product feel powerful and larger than life. Every sound was crafted to draw the audience in, highlighting the micro-moments—slow-mo close-ups of the details, the precision of the blades, the sleek engineering and ultimately make the product feel bold and draw you in. 🎧

Bringing out the character of the product through sound is always a rewarding challenge, and this one was all about impact.
