I officially left my agency career in April 2019 and tested out freelancing. By fall of 2019, I founded my own tiny small biz. This truly was a peer community effort — thanks to my industry friends for those early referrals that were crucial to start the momentum.

I feel like I blinked and it's now coming up on 7 years. The joke of going from a 9-5 to working 24/7 is so true, but eventually you learn to manage your time, find balance, recognize that the grass is always greener elsewhere, but you can tend to your own backyard and stop fixating on other yards.

Just updated my website and zoomed out. I just can't believe time has flown and all this work has accumulated. I'm not a boasting person, this feels cringe to post, but I am ruminating and feeling grateful — thinking about the friends that helped to place those early stepping stones.

The takeaway? If you have a goal & the means to be self-sufficient, can define your mission, and build a system with community, then just go for it! The world is on fire... so f**k it, try it out if you're craving a new path.

Another bit of great news. Our social client LPM Restaurant & Bar has finally launched delivery & curbside pickup -- available daily from 12-10pm. Now you can enjoy at home for lunch, dinner and even happy hour 🍸🍾🥂

I've been quiet for a while during this Covid-19 situation, so, hello everyone! I hope you are well and staying safe out there. This pandemic has undoubtably shaken the world along with our hospitality community. Even through this dark time, one thing is for sure - our local hospitality fam is strong and creating their own success stories despite everything. I'm happy to see such amazing foundations spearhead resources and information like the James Beard Foundation --highly recommend our restaurant friends subscribe. It's so wonderful to see local brands like Coconut Cartel raising monies for the USBG National Charity Foundation Bartending Fund; watching top Miami Chefs band together to raise over $100k for the Miami Restaurant Employee Relief Fund; round of applause for my dear friend, Ashlie Rolfe, applying her master event planning skills for Feeding America! The list goes on of local hero's and acts of kindness 👏🤝💓
