RAIDER NATION… IS THE SKY FALLING?! ☠️🏴‍☠️

Because some of y’all are already calling Fernando Mendoza a BUST after THREE preseason games. 😂

Come on, man.

Did Mendoza struggle at times? Absolutely. Pressure got to him, he took sacks, made mistakes, and threw some picks.

But you know what else he is?

A ROOKIE.

We knew this wasn’t going to be an overnight fix. The Raiders drafted Mendoza knowing he needed time to learn, develop, and adjust to NFL defenses. There’s still work to do around him—especially up front.

I want to WIN just as badly as every other Raiders fan. But we can’t preach development and then call the young QB a bust after three PRESEASON games.

Give the kid some time. Give him some protection. Give him a chance to develop.

**RAIDERS FANS… have we seen enough? ☠️🏴‍☠️**

The preseason wraps up tonight against the 49ers, but I’m not sure we need one more game to settle this position battle.

**Treydan Stukes has earned the starting free safety job.**

The rookie has reportedly been getting the majority of the first-team reps over Isaiah Pola-Mao — and when you combine that with what we’ve seen on the field, it’s getting harder to argue against him.

And here’s the part I really like: putting Stukes deep could allow **Jeremy Chinn to play closer to the line of scrimmage and do what Jeremy Chinn does best — create CHAOS.**

The Raiders drafted Stukes in the second round for a reason.

Now it looks like the rookie might have already taken the job.

**So I’m calling it: Stukes starts Week 1.**

RAIDER NATION 🏴‍☠️ Kirk Cousins is QB1. Nothing has changed.

The national media will tell you, “You don’t draft Fernando Mendoza #1 overall just to sit him.”

But let’s be real… if the Raiders named Fernando the Week 1 starter, those SAME people would be saying the Raiders are rushing the rookie and should’ve let him sit, learn, and develop. 😂

Fernando has continued to improve throughout the offseason and is earning high praise from his teammates. That’s EXACTLY what we should want to hear.

Do we all want to see Fernando take the field? HELL YEAH. ☠️

But there’s one word Raider fans have heard for years that we actually need to embrace right now:

PATIENCE.

Let Kirk run the offense. Let Fernando learn. Let the kid develop.

Because when Fernando’s time comes… HE’LL BE READY. 🏴‍☠️🔥

**Raider Nation went through ALL 5 stages of grief in about 30 minutes yesterday. 😭🏴‍☠️**

When reports came out that Ashton Jeanty went down, couldn’t walk off the field, and teammates gathered around to pray… Raider fans immediately assumed THE WORST.

Funerals were planned. 💀
Somebody donated an ACL. 🦵😂
Fantasy owners started sending disrespectful trade offers.
And somehow we already had people saying, **“Jeanty wasn’t even that good anyway.”** 😂

Then the update came: **ankle sprain.**

HUGE sigh of relief.

Injuries always suck, but an ankle injury is a much different conversation than a potentially career-altering knee injury for a running back. With three weeks until the season, there’s time to let Jeanty recover — and if Mike Washington plays well, there’s absolutely no reason to rush him back.

So what did yesterday teach Raider Nation about overreacting to training camp reports?

**Absolutely nothing. 😂**

Because we're doing this EXACT same thing next time.

🚨 **GOOD NEWS, RAIDER NATION!** ☠️🏴‍☠️

According to NFL insider **Adam Schefter**, Raiders RB **Ashton Jeanty is believed to have suffered a sprained ankle** after being helped off the practice field today.

The Raiders still don’t know exactly how long Jeanty will be sidelined, but **the injury is NOT considered long-term** — and the organization is reportedly breathing a huge sigh of relief tonight. But still could be weeks to months. 🙏

After how scary it looked at practice, this feels like about as good of an update as Raider Nation could’ve hoped for.

Now let’s hope Jeanty heals up FAST. 🏴‍☠️💪
