📍Mother's Day vs Mothering Sunday - let's get it straight!🤔

So, you might think we have two Mother's Days, but nope!

Mothering Sunday is actually a UK thing, rooted in Christianity, and celebrated on the fourth Sunday in Lent.

Meanwhile, Mother's Day is a global phenomenon, thanks to Anna Jarvis's efforts in the US.

Think of it like this: Mothering Sunday is like visiting your "mother church," while Mother's Day is more about showering mom with gifts and love (let's be real, who doesn't love that?)😂.

Anyhoo, whether you're celebrating Mothering Sunday or Mother's Day, let's appreciate those amazing moms in our lives!

Happy Sunday, Everyone!
Happy Mothers Day to all amazing Mother out there.🙏

📍Finding Yourself Before Finding Love.

Recently, I had a conversation with a friend about future plans, and we humorously spoke about how the alternative plan can be to get married.🤣🤣🤣

But it got me thinking, why do we often expect others to complete us when we're still figuring out our own lives?

When we're struggling to find purpose and fulfillment, it's tempting to cling to someone else for answers. But marriage isn't a solution to our individual problems. In fact, it can be unfair to expect someone else to fill the voids in our lives (the ones only purpose in God can).

As a believer, I know that prayer and self-reflection are key to discovering our purpose. It's essential to take time to figure out who we are, what we want, and what we're passionate about before entering into a relationship.

When we enter into a relationship as whole individuals, we're more likely to build a strong and healthy partnership.

Let's focus on finding ourselves and our purpose before seeking someone else to complete us.

Remember, one is suppised to have been chasing a thousand before two will put ten thousands to flight.

📍Have you ever been in a situation where you spoke up and it didn't sit well with the people in question?

I recently had an experience that made me realize how growing up in an environment where speaking up was discouraged can affect our ability to assert ourselves as adults.

A while ago, I was somewhere for a validation process, I noticed that the associate had called five out of six of us, but when it got to my turn, he claimed he wanted to "save time." 🤣😂👐🏻 Ahhh, Egbami e ramikale (Save me and buy me down)😂

I politely asked him why he did it for others but when it got to my turn they suddenly wanted to save time, and to my surprise, he got defensive and reported me to the person in charge.

When I came across this video, I started to reflect on how being cautioned or beaten for speaking up in our childhood can have lasting effects on our confidence and ability to assert ourselves. Many of us grow up feeling like our voices don't matter or that speaking up will lead to negative consequences.

✍🏻 The Validation experience taught me that it's essential to speak up for ourselves and ask questions when necessary. It's not about being confrontational but about being clear and assertive. When we see others speaking up for themselves, it shouldn't make us uncomfortable; instead, it should inspire us to do the same.

Let's break free from the fear of speaking up and start asserting ourselves in a respectful yet confident manner.

Let's learn to value our voices and opinions, and encourage others to do the same.

A Story of Perception and Reality!

Today, I had an interesting experience in a taxi ride. A fellow passenger was excited to buy a particular vegetable because it was her husband's favorite. One of the men in the taxi laughed and asked if they were newlyweds(they have been married for 7years), assuming that only newlywed couples would be so considerate of each other's preferences.

This encounter made me realize how our perspectives and realities can shape our understanding of the world. The man's assumption was based on his limited view, but the reality is that people in long-term relationships, like the couple in the taxi, can still show love and care for each other's preferences.

📍The Power of Alternative Perspectives

As I learned in a seminar today, having alternative perspectives can change our reality and broaden our understanding of life.

How has alternative perspectives changed your understanding of life?

Don't compare yourself to others!🤔🗣

One of the women of God I love so much would say, "you are not from a lineage of priest and you are living recklessly, you are living a prayerless life. Hey, you are in more danger than you think of.

This is not in any way saying that if you are from a lineage of priest, you should just act anyhow. I mean, you can learn from people like Eli's sons......

Take for instance what happened in the movie . Emeka was not from a family of priest. Femi's parents started praying for their Son, no one was there to intercede for Emeka.

So this is to tell you, see, don't compare yourself with anybody. Take your spiritual life, your spiritual journey very important.

Prayer, spiritual discipline, and seeking guidance are crucial. Your background doesn't define your destiny, but it can impact your journey.

Let's prioritize our spiritual growth and take our faith seriously. Stay blessed!

Thank you so much for reading to this point. I will write to you soon...

Till then, stay safe and God bless you. Please follow me for more.

The Weapons of our Warfare!🔥🙏🤍

When the Bible was talking about how the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (1Cor 10:4), it's a serious thing.🤗🙌

So when I watched that scene where Daniel had seen the person that was the snake in the orphanage and he had seen the lady with the rod that was tied with some fe**sh stuff "Grace", the first thing that came out of my mouth was 'Oh God, please grant Daniel the wisdom.' I mean, his name is even Daniel.😂😂😂 Grant Daniel the wisdom to use this information well.

We really saw the importance of how it is not only limited to knowledge, or its acquisition but the right application, which is WISDOM. The wisdom of God!🔥

Not until Daniel spoke to his parents. Oh my goodness, thank God for godly parenting, thank God for people like Daniel's mum that was like 'Daniel, don't fight spiritual battles with physical weapons'

And his Dad told him not to 'fight spiritual battle with fists, you go on your knees, to fight those things.' 🔥🔥

Because you don't want to tell me that somebody... 😒😒😒in fact, me seeing it🤔, I didn't expect Daniel to go and confront the mama D. I didn't expect him to go and confront her outrightly.😳

Even if he was going to fight physically, to start with, he should have maybe reported to like high security people. You went to go and confront them like seriously?😂😂😂

📍But thank God for the wisdom of God!🔥🔥

This is one of the things I learnt from this series, . It is important for us to apply the wisdom of God in the things that we do. We don't fight spiritual battles with physical weapons, and best believe that because we are believers, we have an advantage, the Holyghost.

Life is deeply spiritual. So we don't take things with levity when we see them. We take them to God in prayer. Even if it's a physical thing, let the God of all spirit, he's called the Father of all spirit, let Him deal with it.

Watch out for more of the lessons I learnt from .
