Happy Pride 2025 to you and yours! This month, we’re feeling alive and invigorated in learning more about the groundbreaking, truth shaking creatives in our world. This week we’re talking about the work of filmmaker Justine Pimlott. In the last two years, Justine has had four major feature documentaries play at Hot Docs and on the theme of Pride Month - three of them are very powerful stories from the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Parade: Q***r Acts of Love & Resistance, A Mother Apart, and Any Other Way: The Jackie Shane Story - which features our own James Baley Music. This film also just won a Peabody Award! This month, we’re feeling alive and invigorated in learning more about the groundbreaking, truth shaking creatives in our world. This week we’re talking about the work of filmmaker & musician Trevor Anderson who is a masterful visual and rhythmic storyteller. His first feature film Before I Change My Mind is a delightfully oddball, charmingly awkward coming-of-age story set in the ‘80s with a score by our very own writer Lyle Bell. The film is available on Apple TV and Crave in Canada.

This week we’re talking about the work of director/filmmaker Fawzia Mirza, who directed the award winning feature, Queen of My Dreams, which gets its US theatrical release on June 20!
The film was produced by her own Baby Daal Productions with her partner Andrea Wilson Mirza, and the music was composed by Alysha Brilla. Read on and stay curious (and go watch Queen of My Dreams wherever you can!!)🌈

Can’t believe it’s been a week since these snaps of our crew were taken at the Canadian Sync Awards 👔 It’s always fun to be amongst so many people you know but don’t often see (but also in actuality only get a chance to talk to seven of them anyway). We ❤️ you all.
