Some sneaker stories are loud.

This one feels layered.

At first glance, people see bright colors and immediately push back because it doesn’t fit the version of the Air Jordan 3 they’re used to seeing.

But the longer I sat with this pair, the more it started revealing itself.

Brazilian football energy.
Street culture.
Movement.
Music.
Carnival color palettes.
Late night city lights.
Even the way the materials and packaging feel experimental.

That’s what I actually appreciate about this release.

Jordan Brand could’ve played it safe. Again.
Instead, they expanded the language of what an Air Jordan 3 can represent.

And honestly… that’s when sneakers get interesting.

Not when every pair looks identical.
Not when every story repeats itself.
Not when nostalgia becomes a cage.

The pairs that usually age the best are the ones people argue about first.

After learning the story behind the Bluetile SBs, this pair hit differently for me.

The butterfly references tied to migration.
The cracked textures.
The fuzzy laces and antenna details.
The way the entire shoe feels rooted in community instead of hype.

You can tell this wasn’t made by people chasing trends.
It feels personal. Honest. Lived in.

That’s probably why this became only my second pair of Dunks I’ve actually worn since the 2010s.

And honestly… that says a lot.

This pair reminded me why I loved sneakers in the first place.
Not because they’re limited.
Because they tell stories.

Best dunk of 2026?

You tell me. 🦋

The longer I looked at this piece, the more it started revealing itself.

At first it was the oversized Chicago embroidery.
Then the faded graphic work layered into the wash.
Then the distressing around the sleeves that kept the shirt from feeling too clean or overdesigned.

But the detail that really pulled me in was the small 23/45 hit near the collar.

Quiet. Easy to miss.
But if you know the history, you know exactly what it’s referencing.

That’s what made this custom from Retired From Society stand out to me while shooting it.

It doesn’t feel like a piece trying to recreate basketball culture.
It feels like a piece created by someone who actually understands it.

Honestly, I think that’s why independent creators are starting to lead the conversation in fashion again.

The details feel intentional.
The references feel personal.
The clothing feels considered instead of manufactured for everyone at once.

Some pieces just photograph well.
Others give you something to discover while you shoot.

This one did both.

What detail pulls you in first?

I said it already…
doing the Air Jordan 5 Gore-Tex in limited women’s sizing was dirty work.

That black/red pair?
super wearable. Easy rotation. Everyday type of shoe.

But then you turn around and give extended sizing to something like the Ice Carmines…

and I can’t lie…

they grew on me.

Still not an everyday colorway for most people,
more of a “pull these out when it’s time” type of pair.

But fire is fire.

I just don’t agree with how they played it.

What y’all think?

Designed to be worn.
Not protected.

The NikeCraft GPS strips things back to what matters
— function, durability, purpose.

No noise. Just intention.

Built for everything… or at least that’s the idea.

2026: Still the standard. ❌
Had these for a few weeks now and I’m glad I finally got the chance to get them under the lights before the official drop. The leather quality on these OGs is a different level.
Check the slides for the details they hid on the inside. 🔍

Back at it.

New space. Studio still boxed up. Laptop just made it back.
Had to make something happen anyway.

Air Jordan 14 “UNC”

Low key… the 14 has always been a litmus test.
Pairs usually move. Quietly, but consistently.

These didn’t.

And honestly… I’m not mad at that.

We’re in a moment right now where not everything needs to be a collab, limited, or stamped for approval.
You can just like a shoe… and buy it.

That used to be normal.

This pair? Easy decision.

Easter usually means bright colors and loud sneakers.
But this pair went the other way.
Soft tones, floral hits, translucent gum sole.
One of the cleanest themed pairs I’ve seen in a while.
