BBC Music Introducing featured folk/indie musician, Caitlin Rose Brawn, will be joining Rupert Rundell in the studio for Rupert's Playlist #5 on Wednesday at 9pm to talk about her musicianship/songwriting techniques as well as playing a few acoustic tunes!

Cat Rose is an emerging singer songwriter, folk musician based in Plymouth, UK. She creates well crafted storytelling songs that connect with people from all walks of life and has an intimate, pure voice that has been compared to Laura Marling’s. Cat emerged as a lock down artist back in 2020, where she was nominated for the final three of Plymouth Laureate of Words, alongside Jon Nash and Laura Horton. Cat was a student of the Rebels Music programme at the Barbican Theatre and was mentored by local legend Alex Hart .

Filmmaker and Director Daniel Howard-Baker will be joining us at the studio tomorrow at 8pm to talk about his upcoming documentary on the π‘΄π’Šπ’π’π’†π’π’π’Šπ’–π’Ž π‘©π’–π’Šπ’π’…π’Šπ’π’ˆ on π‘Όπ’π’Šπ’π’ 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒕, 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆: "W: A Return To Oz ," which will be brought to screens all across the country from this Autumn 2025 onwards and throughout 2026.

The documentary takes us back in time to the 90s, when the π‘΄π’Šπ’π’π’†π’π’π’Šπ’–π’Ž π‘©π’–π’Šπ’π’…π’Šπ’π’ˆ was known as The 𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆, a rave venue now reduced to a derelict shell with years gone by. The film explores its history, its people and the future. Filmmaker-explorer Daniel Howard-Baker finds the building in an empty derelict state, long after the prosperous life and energy it endured through the 90s. Through a combination of archives and stories of people who lived there, the film explores through the medium of analogue what once was and how even a now silent derelict shell can become the centre of the universe. Help Daniel and his associate producer, Louis Holder, reach the fundraising goal of Β£3,500 towards their final round of post production for the film - namely the few remaining archive & music clearances - by donating towards their π‘ͺπ’“π’π’˜π’…π’‡π’–π’π’…π’†π’“: igg.me/at/what-is-w
