We, who have been deemed through doctrine and policy as the minority, are here to be vessels to provide our stories for examination as a means of being understood. Our strength is in our differences. By seeing them, hearing them, acknowledging them and respecting them, we are able to grow through them. Stories and conversation through the lens of love, accept

ance, understanding and appreciation will add to the human tapestry that was started before us and that will continue to be after us. To the ones in power, this is your window. May you peer through with empathy and may you seek understanding. To the ones on the fringes, the kettle is on and the fire is warm.
