Chapter 4 - Clean Vocals Clear Vision. With a clear plan in our sites it was time for final preparations to sharpen ourselves. The heist would go down as Skyler Jade finished her final song at the open mic. We would time it perfectly that as she was receiving her applause, Wyntrrs would approach the DJ with his own music set list on a flash drive. He would then drop the flash drive behind the Dj. And if I know anything about Dj J Charles, he has impeccable manners and would reach down to the ground to get that flash drive back.

It was time to sit down and brain storm. How could we get the drive back from J Charles? Since he and I have hosted so many events together over the years I knew he would be interested in an impromptu Open Mic. If he were to be the DJ that evening, I could find a moment where he was distracted enough to take the drive back. See, he likely doesn’t even know he has the drive since it is inside a pyramid hidden storage box. The box is a 3D print my son made and it represented a good luck charm for me when I was performing. Ever since we started DJ’ing together Jason has had his eye on that pyramid. One night, at a gig in December, he bet me that I couldn’t loop transition a Kendrick song into a Beatles song. I foolishly bet my pyramid against his amethyst (the man has all the dope natural stones) not knowing that the left CDJ had a broken cue button. As I went to transition the songs nothing happened when I pushed the button and there went my pyramid to DJ J Charles. I had completely forgotten that I left my Phoenix drive inside. This leads us back to the table full of capable artist that helped me plan a genuine Open Mic that had a moment of distraction, The Heist was on!

Funny how, with the real ones in your life, time is a non-factor. You can just pick up where you left off. Why, imo? ...

Funny how, with the real ones in your life, time is a non-factor. You can just pick up where you left off. Why, imo? Respect, open mindedness and willingness to understand multiple perspectives. This is why I knew Cheech and Nula had to be in on The Heist. Before I had the honor of building a musical community at Meraki I was fortunate enough to have a community during COVID with these two. They were welcoming and inclusive and no creed was allowed to interrupt camaraderie. As a full circle moment, they happen to be back in AZ in charge of the . With all this fortune it was time to get the plan together with insider help.

The Heist never had to happen. The Phoenix drive was never meant to be in the hands of DJ J Charles in the first place. When it was stolen from me at a gig last month I knew I had to create a team to get it back. A team that could both fit the part and distract the DJ. Separate they are some of the top talents in the greater Phoenix area, together, they are The Frequency Moves Five. Oh, my bad, you are wondering about the contents of the drive. Well the contents contain a priceless prototype. More on that later. For now, know that every move made at the Twisted Totem the night of The Heist Open Mic was indeed calculated.
