🇵🇭 Maligayang Filipino Heritage Month! 🇨🇦

Inaanyayahan po ng Philippine Heritage Council of Manitoba, Inc. at mga ka-alyadong organisasyon ang lahat ng mga kabarangay sa Winnipeg at mga karatig-lugar na makibahagi sa flag-raising ngayong umaga sa Philippine Canadian Centre of Manitoba Inc. grounds. Susundan po ito ng mga makukulay na cultural performances sa PCCM Multi-Purpose Hall.

Ang pagtitipong ito ang magsisilbing panimula sa isang buwang pagdiriwang ng kulturang Pilipino, ating mga tradisyon, at ng maraming ambag ng Filipino community sa Canada. Sa ating sama-samang pagdalo, ipinapakita natin ang ating pagmamalaki sa ating pinagmulan at ang ating pagkakaisa bilang isang komunidad.

Tara na at ipagdiwang ang ating pamana, kultura, at pagkakakilanlan. Kita-kits tayo sa PCCM! Mabuhay ang Filipino Heritage Month! 🇵🇭❤️

🇵🇭 Happy Filipino Heritage Month, Manitoba! 🇨🇦

Ngayong buwan ng Hunyo, ipinagdiriwang nating mga Pilipino dito sa Canada ang ating mayamang kultura, kasaysayan, at mga pagpapahalagang dala natin saan man tayo mapadpad. Sa pamamagitan ng ating sipag, malasakit, at katatagan, nakatutulong tayo sa paghubog ng mas matatag at masiglang mga komunidad sa buong bansa, kabilang na dito sa lalawigan ng Manitoba.

Ngayong Filipino Heritage Month, ipinagmamalaki natin hindi lamang ang ating pinagmulan kundi pati ang mga positibong ambag ng ating komunidad sa larangan ng kalusugan, edukasyon, negosyo, sining, at serbisyong pampubliko. Sama-sama nating ipagdiwang ang ating mga ugat, ang ating paglalakbay, at ang kinabukasang patuloy nating binubuo. Mabuhay ang komunidad ng Pilipino dito sa Manitoba! 🇵🇭🇨🇦

Mabuhay at maraming salamat uli sa mga kaibigan natin sa 204 Volunteers Inc. sa pagdalaw sa Steinbach at pamimigay ng libreng mga buto ng upo para sa UpoFest 2026!

Salamat din po sa mga kabarangay natin sa Steinbach na dumalo sa free seed giveaway. Patubuin na po natin at isali sa Agosto 29 para sa pinakamahaba at pinakamabigat na upo! 🎉🇵🇭🌱

Bumabati po ng Happy Easter sa lahat ng mga kabarangay natin sa Steinbach, Manitoba!

Malapit na po ang 2026 UpoFest! Simula noong 2020 lockdown, ang Upofest ay naging pang-taunang pagdiriwang ng Filipino community sa pagtatanim ng upo (bottle gourd) at pagbabahagi ng mga buto nito. Katuwaan na pasiklaban din ito kung sino ang may pinakamalaki at pinakamahabang upo, at mag-enjoy sa pagkain, laro, awitan, at kulturang Pinoy.

Sa Huwebes ng 7:30 pm, ika-9 ng Abril, sa Tim Hortons Hiway 12, magkita-kita po tayo para sa libreng pamigay ng mga buto ng mga nanalong upo varieties ng nakaraang taon. Hatid po ito ng 204 Volunteers Caring Manitobans in Action at ng Barangay Manitoba.

UNIT Productions proudly presents Pamasko Tales: The Glitter Bird

The holidays just got a whole lot brighter with a loud, playful, and music-filled Filipino Christmas panto flying onto the stage this December at the Philippine Canadian Centre of Manitoba Inc. (PCCM).

In this special episode, Hazel Venzon of UNIT Productions, together with the cast of The Glitter Bird, joins Kabarangay Kris Ontong to chat about this year’s production of Pamasko Tales: The Glitter Bird — a dazzling retelling of the beloved epic Ibong Adarna. The production is written by Primrose Madayag Knazan (Lessons in Fusion, Precipice) and features vibrant musical arrangements by Dave Dagta (Vancouver). Check out the 75-second teaser below.

With larger-than-life characters, pop-infused music, and a fiesta of comedy and colour, The Glitter Bird celebrates community spirit and the enduring power of Filipino storytelling.

This National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we explored the Mennonite Heritage Village's 'Reconciling History,' a self-guided walking tour that turned out to be a powerful and thought-provoking experience, sharing the stories that shaped the relationship between Mennonite settlers and their Indigenous neighbours, here in Southeast Manitoba.

Understanding our own past is a crucial step on the path to reconciliation. Highly recommend taking this walk. 🧡

Another moment 🙌 We jumped on the hype for the very first Lantern Festival ✨🌙 and wow… what a night! The food was sooo good (so many flavors, couldn’t pick a fave) 🍜🔥 and the mainstage performances had the crowd vibing all evening 🎶💃. With lanterns glowing all around downtown, it honestly felt straight-up magical. Winnipeg, this new tradition is a keeper! 🏮💛

Last year, Kabarangay Kris and his family enjoyed the Pearl of the Orient Philippine Pavilion. This year, they branched out to explore the Irish, Japanese, and Ukrainian Pavilions. 🍀🎎🌻

It's amazing how Winnipeg truly shines when people come together to celebrate and admire the beauty of our diverse cultures! ❤️
