What’s this lamp & why does it spin? It’s the B-4 Table Lamp designed in 1945 by Greta Grossman and produced by Gubi. It’s made of metal and is very architectural in nature with the adjustable panels to diffuse light in a near infinite amount of ways.

Whats our flip clock? It’s by Contemporary Japanese artist Yosh*tomo Nara and features 84 flaps (24 hr, 60 min) with original illustrations that make over 1000+ unique combinations giving a lot of endorphins during the day. It comes in Blue or Beige and is available from MoMA or LACMA

douzedegres spent months researching lighthouses along the Brittany coast before designing the Flare 40 - a non-electric lamp using an optical lens to turn a single flame into a beacon.

What happens when an architect designs their own home?

This is Le Corbusier’s apartment-studio in Paris - the top floors of Immeuble Molitor in the 16th arrondissement. Built in 1934, it was the first all-glass residential building ever made and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site that you can visit by appointment through Fondation Le Corbusier.

Le Corbusier basically invented modern architecture alongside other greats like Mies van der Rohe, Walter Gropius, and Frank Lloyd Wright - but his own space feels nothing like the cold minimalism you might expect.
