To start us off on our dark journey, we decided to cover the stabbing of Larry Nasser (LEMON AS***LE) and release of stabber Leslie Van Houten. We wanted to prime everyone with some metal before diving headfirst into what we all came here for! Some Icebreaker, huh?

We’re doing our absolute best this episode to bring you a wonderful summary of each of Poes works we selected: The Raven, followed by A Telltale Heart, and finishing with Murders in the Rogue Morgue (it’s fu***ng French so Roo morgue).

Analyzing these stories, we’ll give you the Almost not Casual ideas and deconstructions we felt most prominent, and get really involved with what we took away and loved about each of Poe’s famous works.

We will briefly talk about Call of Cthulu with a focus on Inspector Legrasse, leading up to an audio journey lead by Dark Adventure Radio Theatre called The White Tree, a follow up to Legrasse's horrific encounter in Call.

Spoilers abound! as we cover the entire K*K riddled ritual cult that Legrasse uncovers, and the sinister and sacrificial methods behind it. There are lessons in History we should sooner remember, but keep forgetting, and this story takes a thrumming stone to harmonize the strangeness of Lovecraft's universe with the prescience of our repeated historical sins.
