DSWD extends aid to 537 families in Mandaue, calls for flood prevention.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 7 has extended relief assistance to 537 affected families in Barangay Umapad, Mandaue City following flooding in the area.
While relief efforts continue, the DSWD also reminded the public that true recovery goes beyond immediate response.
DSWD 7 emphasized the importance of community participation in disaster prevention especially keeping our surroundings clean to avoid clogged waterways.
“Floods may bring challenges, but together we can rise above them. A clean community is a safe community,” Tonyson Luther Lee , DSWD 7 ARD, urging residents to take part in protecting the environment as a safeguard for future generations.
