Let's visit Umberto Pasti, the Milanese gardener and writer in the heart of Jbala country 🌿
Behind a grey wooden door framed by whitewashed walls at the bottom of the Vieille Montagne, Umberto Pasti, a gardener and writer from Milan, welcomes Stéphanie Gaou to his Tangier haven, Tbarek Allah. Here, softness, calm and voluptuousness reign. There, less than an hour from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis, after Asilah, perched on the hills of Jbala country, sits a sunny garden facing the sea in the village of Rohuna, which Umberto designed entirely with the help of the villagers. Since then, this modern-day Hercules has been working to restore the Garden of the Hesperides to its former glory, on Moroccan farmland.

C’est derrière une porte grise, en bas de la Vieille Montagne, qu’il accueille Stéphanie Gaou dans son havre tangérois, Tbarek Allah. Ici, règnent douceur, calme et volupté. Là -bas, à moins d’une heure de l’agitation de la métropole, après Asilah, perché sur les collines du pays Jbala, trône un jardin ensoleillé, face à la mer, situé dans le village de Rohuna, qu’Umberto a conçu entièrement avec l’aide des villageois. Depuis, cet Hercule des temps modernes œuvre pour que le Jardin des Hespérides retrouve ses lettres de noblesse, en terre paysanne et marocaine.
