Chinese electric carmaker Nio says that two people were shut off when one of its vehicles fell from the third bottom of its headquarters in Shanghai.
One member of staff and a person from a mate company failed in the crash.
The incident took place on Wednesday at about 1720 original time, the establishment said. The people who failed were inside the vehicle as it fell from the structure.
Nio says it incontinently started an disquisition into the incident in co-operation with government officers.
The third storey area from where the auto fell has been similarly described as a exchange, a testing installation or a auto demesne.
" Our company has banded with public security department to launch the disquisition and analysis of the cause of the accident. Grounded on the analysis of the situation at the scene, we can originally confirm that this was an accident( not caused by the vehicle)," the company said in a statement.
" We feel veritably sad about this accident and would like to express our deepest condolences to our coworker and mate hand who lost their lives. A platoon has been set up to help the families," it added.
