Israeli authorities has denied entry to a delegation of 30 Canadians, including six members of Parliament, preventing them from travelling into the occupied West Bank in a move that has drawn sharp criticism over Israel’s treatment of elected officials and human rights observers. Canada has recently recognized the State of P@lestine.

The delegation, sponsored by the Canadian Muslim Vote (CMV), a registered non-profit organization, included Liberal MPs Fares Al Soud, Iqra Khalid, Aslam Rana, Gurbux Saini, and Sameer Zuberi, as well as New Democratic Party MP Jenny Kwan. Members of the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) and representatives from Justice for All, Canada, were also part of the group.
