after my dad dying my cat dying and getting diagnosed with skin cancer, this year was shaping up to be the worst and i was certain my time in nola was done — i made a plan to quietly move to chicago, sold all my stuff, then kept pushing it off until i was signing a lease and replacing everything i’d just sold and making nola home again

i’m so glad i stayed and i can’t wait to keep partying with y’all 🥲

making the Gambit Weekly's Best Of list for two years in a row — especially when i've only been DJing for three years, two months, and two days — is a delight, an honor, and honestly kind of a surprise since i spent the first ~5 months of the year dealing with my dad dying my cat dying and getting skin cancer!!!

thanks to everyone who voted, the venues who have hosted me, and the humans who keep showing up to hear my silly little mashups; it is such a blessing to make a living doing what i love :)))

hey go stream my new track on spotify or your streaming service of choice, it is what it sounded like in my head the last 12 hours of my dad’s life condensed into 3ish minutes :)))

i am still sad a lot of times and have cried in so many places and in front of so many people but i have also been overwhelmed by creativity and a strong desire to be a healthy hydrated morning person and yes i’m sure my dad will take credit for that but honestly he’s right and if you see him again before me, don’t tell him i told you that ✌️

anyways hi i’m warm advice but my friends & the government call me kendall. i’m a DJ and event & music producer based in new orleans & chicago. i started ***r in september of 2022, quit my job in tech in february of 2024, and my dad died my cat died and i got diagnosed with skin cancer in Q1 of 2025. the last part is not relevant but it’s literally my personality these days and actually i guess maybe it is relevant because on paper, this year should suck and my depression should be winning, but in reality, i am thriving through the grief because every day brings a new opportunity to continue down this chaotic & fulfilling path i should’ve chosen when i was 22 but ended up choosing at 37

anyways i love what i do so much and if you need a DJ or someone to make you some melodies or sick beats you should reach out to me because i would love to work with you as long as you aren’t an @$$hole :)))
