Alana Beverly Hi there! I am a wife, a mama, and am getting started in the life of podcasting.

I have a passion for hearing people’s stories and finding connection and unity through them.

Confession. It’s been a bit since I have come down to my “nook” for a quiet time. It’s actually been a bit since I have gotten up early enough to come down to have one. Recently, my time with the Lord has been more rushed and spread out throughout the day, and I haven’t intentionally given Him the very first part of my day. While this is the most important time of my day, it’s easy for it to slip down my list to do later in the day, when I’m way more distracted.

Today I started my annual tradition of reading through the book of Luke. I do this each December, and it is something that has legitimately changed my life. Reading about the life of Jesus as we prepare for Christmas helps keep my focus where it needs to be, and makes Christmas even more special. If you’ve never done it, this year is a good time to start! 24 chapters…one chapter each day. It’s easy but so meaningful. 🤍

I share alllll of that bc as I read and had my time this morning I was reminded of how loving and kind and gracious He is. There’s never condemnation when we fall short…just a kind and loving Father who is there to love us and pour into us. He’s so, so good, and I am so, so grateful.

It’s a new month and it feels like the perfect “reset” and I need it. Maybe you do too. So let’s do it. Take a deep breath, grab a cup of coffee, and let’s end this year strong, intentional, and focused! Happy December!!!

It’s also the first day of Advent and the first day for Advent calendars. Coffee for us and chocolate for the kids. We reallllly love this fun way to start each day! It’s going to be such a good month!!! 😍

Today’s podcast episode wraps up our conversations about National Adoption Month. I had the opportunity to sit and talk with Marilu Graves, and let me just say...I was SO very blessed by her! It was actually the first time I got to meet her, and right away, I was encouraged by her excitement for the Lord and the joy she radiates. Listen to her story of how the Lord brought her TWO beautiful daughters through adoption, and how faithful He was every single step of the way. This one is good, ya’ll. You’ll be encouraged, inspired, and I promise you will smile a lot!

Grab a cup of coffee and join us as we pour it out!

I read this book once a year. It’s the perfect re-focus and reminder of how important it is to keep your eyes on Jesus. Reading it this past week especially, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. If you need the reminder of how faithful the Lord is, and how much He loves you, and how He truly will work ALL things out for good…I strongly encourage you to read it. ❤️🙌🏾

Today on the podcast, we continue celebrating National Adoption Month by hearing from Kim Bailey. Kim shares her story of how she adopted her daughter Ashlee, and it is beautiful. But...that’s not all. When Ashlee turned 18, she wanted to look into meeting some of her biological family. You’ll have to listen to hear a story that afterwards you’re left saying, “that was only God.”

This one blessed me so much, and I have thought about it so many times. It’s such a reminder that we have a good Father who loves us so extravagantly. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and join us as we pour it out!

It’s November...which means it’s National Adoption Month! Adoption is a huge part of my story, so I try to take this month each year and highlight some stories of adoption. To kick it off, today on the podcast is Lynette Brown. Earlier this year I sat down with her daughter, Brooklyn Brown, and she shared her adoption story. Today, you get to hear the story from Lynette’s perspective. It’s such a beautiful story, and what spoke to me the most is how quick to walk in obedience Lynette and her husband Mike were. It amazes me how they didn’t hesitate to do what the Lord said to do, and as a result, the Lord has ABUNDANTLY blessed their family.

Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and join us as we pour it out, and then take a little time go to back to episode 66 and listen to my conversation with Brooklyn if you missed it!

Today on the podcast, we have my girl Kim Upshaw. Oh gosh...she is SUCH a gift. She is one of the most encouraging people I know, and her heart shines through in all she says and does. She has many giftings, but the one everyone knows her for is her gift of dancing. You guys. If you have not seen her praise dance...you need to find a way to do it, bc it is POWERFUL and SO beautiful! Today she shares how she got started, and how she has grown in her gift. It’s such a good conversation and it blessed me SO much. I know it will bless you too. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and join us as we pour it out!

I had some people ask about pictures from last week’s podcast, so Linda sent me some. Here are pics of what their jeep looked like, when they got Baxter back, and what Baxter’s “support dog” looks like. The last pic, Baxter is on the right and Bear is on the left. Such a crazy story….and one that leaves you saying, “only God.”

If you missed it, check it out.

A little late in posting today, but oh my goodness, this week’s podcast is AMAZING!!! It is with Linda Gillespie, and it is so, so good. I have known Linda nearly all my life, but when she asked me to be on the podcast, I had NO idea what I was in for. When I tell you I was blessed beyond words, I mean it. She shares about an accident she had a few years ago, and the way the Lord literally saved her life, her husband’s life, and their dog’s life. To hear how the Lord prepared them before the accident, how He took care of them after it, and how He provided for their dog who was lost for nine whole days in the desert...it’s amazing. You do NOT want to miss it, I promise!

Aside from the story, Linda shares a little about her time as a teacher, and it is SO encouraging and inspirational. I know you will be blessed by this whole conversation. Grab a cup of coffee or your favorite drink and join us as we pour it out!

Today’s podcast is with my sweet friend, Chelsy Francis. She shares all about trusting the Lord…walking into the unknown and watching Him provide every step of the way. We recorded this a while back, but listening to it again this week encouraged my heart SO much…and I pray it does yours too.

Today is my 15 wedding anniversary! As I have been thinking and reflecting, I had some things that I felt like I was supposed to share with you. Let me be clear...this is NOT a marriage podcast. But, it is one that compares marriage and our relationship with the Lord a tiny bit. That’s a subject that can go MANY ways and can be expounded upon A LOT, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. I pray that this episode encourages you, challenges you, and pushes you closer to Jesus.
