The Corsican Mafia Family Has Joined The Commission of YoWorld

From April 30 to May 1, talks were held about the possibility of the Corsican Mafia Family joining the Commission of YoWorld. By May 1, all three families—Potenza, Latorio and Mandolino—unanimously approved the Corsican Mafia’s admittance into the Commission of YoWorld. We would like to extend a formal welcome to the Corsican Mafia.

Page Ownership Claim

The Commission of YoWorld would like to address claims that this page was stolen as being false.

In October of 2023, Giovanni Gambino was removed from the page after Gambino’s departure. Gambino were never kicked from the commission, but chose to leave due to inactivity at the time. Initially, intentions were to leave Gambino as admin on the page, but this was revoked when responses were made to comments as the page on posts, whilst another post was removed from the page.

Gambino members had then discussed this with remaining commission members and agreed that the page was to be retained by members of the commission of YoWorld. The commission of YoWorld had also added that should Gambino return to the commission one day, that the page would also be returned to them.

Gambino’s return was discussed by the commission, but was later blocked by a now former member of the commission using their veto. The current commission of YoWorld members did not attempt to block Gambino’s return.

Gambino had failed to contact the commission of YoWorld directly with any further concerns, or requests to revisit the topic of page ownership to find a resolution.

**Name Ownership Claim Review**

The commission has taken the time to review the evidence in the recent name claim attempt by Mandolino, on the Lucchese name.

To prevent bias, Mandolino has not taken part in the investigation, but has confirmed that they are in agreement with the outcome, which is based on commission rules.

The rules state that at the time of Lux’s claim, this claim was legitimate. However, a successful claim also requires the family to provide sufficient proof of being active. As Lux was unable to do this, Christina was able to make a successful counter claim on the name, as she has proven that the family is now active, inline with the commission rules.

Christina has been confirmed to have the legitimate claim on the Lucchese name, and Mandolino has now agreed to cease the use of the name, as per commission rules.

The Commission’s Name Claim Rule Reinforcement

On August 22, 2022, the Commission of YoWorld issued a rule change regarding claiming names. The reason for this post is to reinforce this particular policy, as it has been close to two years since the rule was adopted.

You cannot claim ownership of a family name unless you are operating an active family that uses that name. The only exception to this rule are those families that use a name which does not originate from the real world.

On March 28th 2024, the Vitiello Organized Crime Family's Joseph Vitiello made a decision to withdraw from The Commission of YoWorld.
Before leaving The Commission, Joseph Vitiello thanked all commission families for their support and camaraderie. The Commision of YoWorld wishes the Vitiello Family success and prosperity in the family's future endeavors and thanks them for the time spent in The Commission.

Lux Mandolino Apology to the Commission
I sincerely apologize for my betrayal of the Commission of YoWorld in June of this year. I took sides against the Commission in favor of the newly formed Contrada Family and leaked conversations from the Commission chat. I also attempted to cover up Donna Elora Contrada’s identity from the Commission and lied about not knowing who she was.
I take full responsibility for these mistakes. Since then, I have been trying to rekindle the trust that was lost due to my actions. I am grateful for the Commission’s merciful and compassionate decision to allow Mandolino back into the Commission as a member-family. Given the chance, I would certainly change my past actions.
Although I cannot alter my past behaviour and actions, I promise to be more vocal about any potential future disagreements within the Commission. Since my reinstatement, I have agreed to cooperate and follow all the Commission’s guidelines, rules, regulations, and procedures.
I consider it my duty to contribute to the mafia community to the best of my ability and I believe this is what the Commission aims to achieve. To this end, I will also continue to actively edit Yoville Mafia News (YMN) to rebuild trust with the other Commission families.
In conclusion, I want to emphasize that such behaviour will never recur. I am committed to being more vocal and honest with the Commission of YoWorld regarding any future disagreements. This commitment extends to being truthful with the Commission. I pledge not to spread any information, regardless of its significance, from the Commission Facebook chat.

Representatives of the commission met today to discuss the actions of former member ‘Don Lux Mandolino’ which led to the Mandolino's removal from the commission in June. The decision was made to allow Mandolino to return after efforts made by the leader to improve upon his actions.

For the last few weeks we as a commission have been preparing something that will change the way new families will roleplay.

We have created New Yo City! a fully fleshed out map that any organisation or family may choose to roleplay in.. however, the 4 boroughs of this city are controlled by the 4 families of the commission. In order to further legitimise yourself as a family, you must own territory within the map.

A NEW COMMISSION HAS BEEN FORMED
The Commission is the governing body of the mafia community.
It is comprised of leaders from Gambino, Potenza, and Mandolino. A representative of the commission made the following statement: "The Commission is a collective of the main mob families on Yoworld. Our goal is to pull our resources together to strengthen the community as a whole."
