On Sunday, November 30th, 2025, a delegation of executive members from the Federation of African Youth Development (FOAYD) had the honor of attending an invitation extended by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Ghana courtesy of the Russian Government Center for Diplomacy. The event, held at the Russia House in Accra , provided a platform for our organization to participate in the Geographical Dictation presentation and examination, a thought-provoking initiative that shed new light on Russia and challenged prevailing misconceptions about the country.

The engagement proved to be a valuable opportunity for us to engage in meaningful discussions with representatives of the Russian Embassy, exploring potential avenues for collaboration and partnership. We were pleased to note the Russian Government's enthusiasm for joint initiatives, particularly in the realms of education, cultural exchange programs, and youth advocacy. The Embassy's openness to cooperation was evident, and we are excited about the prospects of working together to foster greater understanding and cooperation between Russia and Africa.

Furthermore, we were delighted to receive an invitation to attend the Russian New Year celebration, an event designed to showcase the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Russia. This invitation serves as a testament to the Embassy's commitment to building bridges between our nations and fostering people-to-people diplomacy.

We are confident that our engagement with the Russian Embassy will mark the beginning of a fruitful and productive partnership, one that will yield benefits for the youth of Africa and Russia alike. We look forward to continued collaboration and exchange, and are grateful for the opportunity to strengthen ties between our organizations and nations.l

The Executive Board and members of the Federation of African Youth Development, representing all 16 regions of Ghana, extend their deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families of the six young ladies who tragically lost their lives at the El Wak Sports Stadium. We mourn this devastating loss and stand in solidarity with the affected families during this difficult time.

We sincerely hope that the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will take immediate and effective measures to enhance safety protocols at all enlistment centers, thereby preventing similar tragedies from occurring in the future. As an organization dedicated to youth development, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting and empowering young people across Ghana and beyond, and we will continue to prioritize their welfare and well-being.
