The Federation of African Youth Development’s Executive Board on July 28th, 2025 paid a courtesy visit to John Dumelo, Deputy Minister of Agriculture at the Ministry’s.

Our discussions centered on the vital role agriculture plays in youth empowerment and national development. We explored how young people can leverage opportunities within the agricultural sector to improve their livelihoods, and also inquired about the Ministry’s efforts to add value to our local produce.

Hon. John Dumelo emphasized the importance of collaboration, sustainable support systems, and the Ministry’s long-term strategies to ensure inclusive growth, especially involving the youth.

The Federation commended his efforts, encouraged him to continue advocating for youth-centered policies, and pledged our support toward initiatives that drive meaningful impact across Africa.

As passionate advocates for youth development, we remain committed to engaging key stakeholders across all sectors to ensure that the voice of the African youth is heard and included.
