Eddie Unedited (2026)

Hello everyone! I hope you're all healthy and safe! I know that an update is long overdue. I began this project during my second year in film school, excited to document my grandfather, learn about the work he has done, and the people he influenced along the way.

We both share such a love for filmmaking and as I discovered more about him, I also grew as a filmmaker. As I continued my studies my skills and knowledge grew, which led me to taking 4 trips to Banff over the course of the last couple of years to dig deeper and document some of the most special moments with my grandfather and the people in his life.

I truly from the bottom of my heart appreciate all of your support and your donations that allowed me to make this happen! As a second year student I was determined to finish this film until the reality of school and work made it extrmeley difficult to find time for this project. This was a passion project I was doing on the side while completing all the film projects I did for school. I want to send this message out because I want you to know how badly I want to finish this film and share it with all of you, but with some of the big struggles the past couple of years have brought (concussions, school, work) it's slowed everything down.

I am now a graduate and am determined to finish this film by early next year and can't wait to share it with you all. Thank you again for supproting me, my dream, my journey, and my project. ❤ ❤

Trip #2 for finishing my film, "Eddie Unedited" was such a success! This trip revealed a whole new world to me that I am so excited to add into the film. Many (including me) might think filming during a pandemic is probably not the best idea, but for me it was a rewarding and unforgettable trip. Following COVID protocol I was still able to talk, witness and listen to people's stories about my grandpa. I already knew he was quite special but seeing who Eddie Hunter was before I was even born, and how others described him made me even more excited to finish this film. I want to thank every single one of you for being so supportive and watching this film slowly come together. It couldn't have ever been made without all the support from friends and family, and of course the community of Banff. I am incredibly grateful for this experience. My goal is to get this film completed by early next year, I wish it was sooner, but finishing my last year of film school, slows things down a bit for me. I will continue to update you all when I can and I hope that everyone is doing well and is staying safe and healthy!

I'm putting out a request to find anyone who was on my grampa's live kids TV show at CFCN in Calgary, when they were young. It ended, I believe, in 1965. Hi everyone! I created this page so that you can all see updates in regards to my film 'Eddie Unedited'.

As you may know, I went to Banff in 2018 to film my grandpa and received the most amazing support from all of you. I apologize that so much time has transpired without me providing news! Projects that had to do with my degree program have been taking my time and energy (as well as a couple of concussions!).

I went to Banff to film my grandpa as a young and very eager filmmaker. I learned so much as I continued my years in film school which has led me to this point where I can now see how I can make this film even better. I am, by no means, giving up on this project! If anything, I've gained even more inspiration. Over the past year, there have been new stories and subjects that have surfaced, which I believe will strengthen the film, and due to this, I didn't want to rush to complete it. Because of this, these next few months will be focused on getting these stories and people together and continuing the editing process.

I know you all are probably very eager to see my film. I want to make sure it’s something I am proud of and something that I make my grandpa proud of. So please hang tight and wait for further updates.

I want to thank you all for your amazing support. I wish I was done much earlier but making a great film does take time, especially when filming a subject that doesn’t live near me! So, please know that I want the absolute best for this film and I am honestly grateful every single day for the donations and support!
