Trying to figure out Severide's age **insert Charlie Day's always sunny meme here** is funny
I recently picked up this show (how dare 11 year old me not start this when it premiered, damn/j), and the character's age inconsistency is hilarious. Particularly that of Severide.

In the Pilot he is 35 (which fair we don't mind that much bc it's the first episode of a show, anything can change afterward rt?). In s5 they decide to age him similarly to the actor, again, fair…still 35. But I'm in s6 ep 17 and Kelly's mum says he used to say his name is based of MGK (Machine Gun Kelly) while he was in high school…and that's IS CRAZY.

MGK didn't start his career until '06 (I looked it up, he was 16 when he started out...), so either Severide was in high school in his mid 20's or the age of the characters is very inconsistent in the show. I will like to think Severide was 25 while finishing high school more character depth ofc/j

Anyways, I will go outside to touch grass now and think about the precious time I've wasted thinking about this T.T

Also ughh unrelated but I really like the show and how it's paced, better than 9-1-1 imo but ig they both have their thing. Can't wait to be caught up.
