I read some heavier nonfiction this year so my actual number of books wasn’t as high as it normally is. But I love the books I read this year. Very mind-expanding!! 💞

🎄What books are you giving as presents this year?🎄

Abby here ( ) and I've bought 2 books for my dad, 4 for my spouse, 4 for my kiddo, 2 for my brother, 6 for me (ha), and 4 for different friends. Which is . . . probably a bit excessive but also not nearly enough, as all of us readers can attest 😁

My go-to book gift this year was The Ten Thousand Doors of January. I mentioned it on the podcast a couple weeks ago, but I started it as an ebook, then immediately went out and bought it in paperback.

Almost every page has been highlighted somewhere. I could not get enough of the prose! So, if you're struggling with a last min book gift--make sure to check this one out.

Valia here & can we just talk about how pretty the UK editions of these books are. I listened to The Luminaries by on audio, and simply had to pick up a copy of the UK Waterstones exclusive edition. I can’t wait to dive in to book two! 🥹

I have just finished the King of Scars duology and officially have a hangover. What should I read next? It needs to have an awesome diverse cast of witty characters!

These books are going to be packed into boxes in the next couple of weeks as we’re moving house! I have lots of exciting plans for a library/reading nook, but given we have a very wee baby and a very active toddler, it may be a while before I can get round to creating it!
