In today’s episodee I spoke with Lisa Kimmitt, Lisa is a Dementia Doula and founder of The Carers Project who support individuals and their loved ones through every stage of their dementia journey, showing compassion and guidance. Lisa’s work is around care but also showing understanding, promoting awareness and co-ordinating services and supports for those who need. Being a dementia doula is a reasonably new field and from our conversation today, I feel is certainly a role that will be alot more sought after in the future.
