🚨 BIG CHANGE COMING TO THE DELHI–GUWAHATI RAIL ROUTE 🚆🇮🇳
Indian Railways is moving ahead with plans to gradually develop the important Delhi–Guwahati High-Density Corridor into a Multi-Tracking / 4-Line Corridor.
✅ 3rd & 4th Line Construction Approved:
The construction of 3rd and 4th lines on the 403 km Ghaziabad–Sitapur section has already received approval.
💰 Estimated Project Cost: Around ₹14,926 Crore
📈 High Line Utilisation: Line capacity utilisation on some sections of this route has reached nearly 168%.
🚉 More Trains: Additional tracks will allow more Passenger and Freight Trains to operate on the corridor.
⏱️ Fewer Delays: Multi-tracking can help reduce congestion, train bunching and unnecessary delays.
🌏 Major Benefit for Northeast India: Better and more efficient rail connectivity between Delhi and Northeast India is expected.
📌 IMPORTANT: This is NOT a new “Delhi–Guwahati Train.” It is a major infrastructure plan to strengthen the busy Delhi–Guwahati rail corridor through 3rd and 4th line construction.
🔥 If this project is fully implemented, should Indian Railways introduce more trains on the Delhi–Guwahati route?
