Some People Should Never Own a Dog😔

Today I responded to a call about 2 little dogs that have been wandering around an apartment complex for days.

It appears; someone abandoned them. Moved away and left them behind. Actually, someone failed these little dogs long, long ago because they have been severely neglected for quite some time. It's so hard to understand this level of cruelty, these precious little souls have suffered silently for most of their lives.

They were so horribly matted, while grooming, we discovered one of them had appetiteproblems but now she is fine and eats well. Their nails have been trimmed , making it easy for them to walk. Their paws are infected. Their spirits are broken.

There is no excuse in the world for what these little dogs have been forced to endure. A person that can sit back and ignore a suffering dog should never own a dog, period.

All of that changed today. Their whole personalities changed after being cleaned up. A very special thank you to monna Harrison, our local groomer , for giving them back their dignity.

They can see now. They can walk, although it is was very painful for them. They will be seeing Dr. Lisa tomorrow for their last appointment.
They are put up for adoption.

Oklahomies, I need your help!! Rockefeller went to his new home yesterday and wiggled out of his leash on a walk. He took off and nobody was able to catch him. He was last seen in the Mustang/OKC area off of SW 29th and Morgan Road. He is all over the internet and AKC Reunite has been notified. He is a sweet boy and will not bite you if you grab him. If you are in the area please keep your eyes open for him. Please share with all of your friends that live or frequent the area. His new family is as devastated as I am! Please be kind and help bring him home. Thank you!

We just came into Emporium Yorkie Rescue Department because our grandma passed away and her daughter could only care for one because the place where she lives can only have one pet. So far we have been treated with so much love by Mr Owen and his family. We are ready for our new chapter, our new home. We have zero health issues and been vet checked when we first came here.

Cindy the white girl and Abby have to be adopted together.

All 50 states applicants will be considered.

Look at how the tulips tower over little EDDY!! Our little chuy boy is the sweetest thing, right around 6 months old and growing at just 3.3 pounds now to 4.5 maximum. Eddy is a playful, curious boy who LOVES to go for walkies. He would love a home with another small friendly dog if possible. He's fostered with kitties and is fine with a bit of management. If he has a playmate, he will likely ignore cats. Eddy is housebroken and crate trained and good with older kids. We prefer not to send Eddy to a home where there are big dogs or small children because she's such a tiny little thing. Eddy needs to go to a home with responsible parents who can complete the vetting provided by the rescue. If you are interested in adopting a small young dog like Eddy, please be prepared to make a 12-14 year commitment (or more). We're looking for an adopter who is ready to make a lifetime commitment to Eddy, not a commitment until you have kids, move, change jobs, etc. If you would like to get Eddy, please fill out a dog adoption application by contacting us We are happy to let him go with an approved adopter.

All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
