✨ Inside The Priory ✨

Built in 1725, extended in the 1880s, divided into flats in the 1920s – The Priory has lived many lives. Today, interior designer Andrew Buchanan is bringing the Bayle’s Grade II-listed gem back to life, one detail at a time.

From fireplaces unblocked in the early days, to painstakingly replicated mouldings and door handles, Andrew’s approach is all about continuity and care – leaning into the space, restoring its character, and honouring its story.

📍 Step inside The Priory and Andrew’s world of creative collaboration, restoration and design in feature piece in th Foghorn - available online or in loads of local stockists around town.

Food waste into food shared. 💚

Frankie and the amazing 42-strong volunteer team behind Folkestone Community Fridge CIC are moving to a new home — and they need our support.

For years, the fridge has been more than a sustainability project. It’s been a lifeline for many in our town, redistributing surplus food and helping neighbours through food poverty.

Now, with new premises secured just minutes away, the team wants to grow:
🥕 Cookery workshops with home-grown produce
🎁 ReGiftmas, baby & toddler swap shops
👨‍👩‍👧 Creative family workshops

But to make it happen, they need funds to relocate, renovate and keep thriving. Their crowdfunder launches this week — every share, donation, and word-of-mouth matters.

👉 find them on Spacehive to donate: https://www.spacehive.com/folkestonecommunityfridge
