With each passing year he continues to amaze me with his spirit and strength. He has definitely slowed down—he is 17 after all—but still, he keeps on truckin. It’s been almost three months since the Palisades Fire tore through the community of dogs and humans that have been an integral part of my life for over a decade. While I am not sure anyone can be fully prepared for an emergency like this, I cannot stress enough how important it is to do your best to try.
