The viral Korean marinated eggs got it’s roots from China, like most East Asian cuisine. Each country has put their own twist on it to make it their own.

For the boiled eggs, let the water come up to a boil then gently lay the eggs into the pot at the same time and lower it he heat to a simmer and cook for 6:45 minutes (this is with cold eggs). Then place eggs straight into a an ice bath for a min of the same cooking time.

I have not been 100% happy with my previous loaves because I’ve alway been rushed or had other things to do so my fermentation time was always off. This time, I took my dough home and put it under the covers, pretended it was and we cuddled until it was time for shaping

Before we start our new year fitness goals we make Canadian maple toffee candy. All you need is maple syrup and snow…and a thermometer. Just boil the syrup to 238F and shock the pot on some ice water then the hardest part is to find a patch of clean snow

Here’s to the new year! May it be full of more chocolate and less stupid comments! I’ll also try to be less defensive, but some of you make it difficult especially the guy complaining about the dust particles in a chocolate fountain. Is the air you’re breathing filtered or something? Also, if you’re scared about a little oil and calorie consumption, skip dessert all together. Anyway, we appreciate the majority of you and wish you all the best 2026! I hope we all heal from our past trauma and be better people (us included) Happy new year #2026

There is a creator on TikTok getting a lot of hate because she suggested to give these to teachers as gifts. Most teachers in the comments say they won’t eat anything hand made by their students. Anyway, we decided to try the recipe out (with a few changes) and it was actually quite delicious. The original recipe is no bake, but we decided to bake it just incase some bacteria got into the bowl. Also the original recipe uses powdered ranched packets but we used Parmesan cheese powder instead. Don’t ask about measurements because I just eyeballed it.

Recipe for the easiest candied nuts below 👇
We had the recipe in metric and we got a lot of requests to use cups to here it is

Preheat oven to 350F
3 cups of whole nuts of your choice
1 cup of powdered sugar (also known as icing or confectioners sugar)
This part is optional
1/4 tsp each of ground ginger, all spice, and cinnamon
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp of water

Mix everything well all together until it forms a paste. Just trust the process! If you find you over poured the sugar just add a few drops of water. This recipe is super forgiving. You’ll just have more sugar crystals and they end up delicious anyway. Pour mixture onto a parchment lined baking sheet (very important that it’s lined with parchment) and bake for 20 min at 350F.
Once it is cooled completely you can break it up and enjoy!

People on TikTok are being weird again, and being weird is my thing. Stop copying me. Don’t be upset when I return the same energy. I will not be the bigger person. I guess people misunderstood the part where I said I don’t like making this versus me not being able to make Christmas crack. It all stemmed from the annoying crackers moving once I poured the caramel over the cracker layer. You spend time carefully layering for them to just slightly overlap. It’s not that big of a deal but I decided to just try placing the caramel first then to add the crackers after

For the caramel
2 sticks of butter or 1 cup
1 cup packed brown sugar

Let it come to a boil and stir for 2-3 min

For tempered semisweet chocolate (tempering is optional) melt chocolate in a bowl over a boiling water until just melted or till 115F-120f. Place bowl on ice and bring temperature down to 84-91F then place it back onto the hot water till it reaches up 86F (do not exceed). Open to easier instructions

I was just experimenting with this viral Christmas crackers recipe and decided to add the caramel first then lay my crackers on top. I drizzled chocolate on the pretzel side as it wasn’t flat. Still good though! I also tempered the chocolate which most recipes don’t call for.
