Our second to last chocolate fountain of the year! Notice how brings the plate close to the fountain to prevent dripping on the table? But he is also sober when he’s doing this, it’s not the case by the end of the night with some of the guests. Everyone is happy and full of chocolate. Our guests are good for the most part and we have staff keeping an eye on the fountain while it’s out. It’s never out for more than 2 hours and the majority of our guests are kid free. Everyone loves chocolate fountain (almost everyone)

Just kidding. We got the cauliflower and Brussel sprouts from our garden and we used hot peppers we grew in the middle of winter in Canada to make our hot sauce. But all jokes aside, we did make the potato starch from scratch. I saved all the starch water from slicing a whole bunch of potatoes (like 9 cases) and it yielded about 2 kg of starch. Probably not going to do that again, although satisfying. You can use othe veg for this batter even chicken wings or tenders

We understand the controversy of using a supplier that has monopolized most of the restaurant industry, however there are benefits to large companies such as Sysco, especially in non restaurant establishments, such as convention centres, camps, and other large catering facilities. We do use their frozen products for an easy staff lunch, but like we said, we will change it up or elevate it a bit so it’s not so manufactured. Here in Canada, Sysco also distributes local produce as well. And like we said, times are tough now, things are expensive and going out to eat is getting more and more stressful. We feel like there is a bigger problem and it stems from the government and our horrible economy.

Apparently the best omelette is cooked in a microwave? Saw this microwaved egg with mayo trend a few months ago and had to see if people were actually telling the truth. They said to whip one egg with some (we did about a tablespoon) and then to microwave for 30 seconds. Ours took about 45 seconds

The chef shmear was made popular in the early 2000’s making way for the glob then pull, dots, along with the splat and brush strokes. I dont know if any of that is true, but that’ll be $200 please
