So here's a shot of Indian Air Force Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) performing on Day 4 of DAS 2025. This group is celebrating their 30th anniversary tomorrow!

📣 GREAT NEWS! 📣 Cebu Pacific Air (5J) has recently announced the resumption of their Manila - Dubai - Manila flights beginning 02 July 2026, following situational assesments and reviews aligned with Dubai International Airport authorities.

With 4x weekly schedules -- Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays -- passengers can choose between flights 5J 14 (MNL ETD is 2:20 PM) or 5J 18 (MNL ETD is 12:10 PM). ✈️

Passengers with cancelled flights to and from Dubai may start rebooking their flights through the Manage Booking portal at the airline's website. 💻🖱

It can be remembered that these flights were suspended end of February when the geopolitical tensions in the Middle East erupted, therefore affecting the safety and well-being of the crew and passengers. Now after three months of rest and cooling period, the airline is ready to serve this high-capacity route again. Hopefully the security situation will continue to improve.

Meanwhile, the airline's other Middle Eastern route (Manila-Riyadh-Manila) appears to retain regular flight operations since March. This is another option for Filipinos wanting to fly to the Middle East and jet off to their next destination.

✨ ️🇹🇭 DAY 5 of my ASEAN 2026 planespotting adventures -- and the last country I'm featuring is THAILAND!

The Thai delegation, led by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, was flown in by their own gov't / VIP transport, a 6-yr old Airbus A319 ACJ. Operated by the Royal Thai Air Force, this aircraft marked its first landing in Mactan, Cebu -- much to the delight of local planespotters like myself! When else would we see this majestic beauty if not for the regional event?! 🤩🤩

P.S. I was low-key wishing for King Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida to come for the event, flying their B737 aircraft themselves hehe 😅

✨ ️It's DAY 4 of my ASEAN 2026 planespotting adventures -- and today's featured country is MALAYSIA! 🇲🇾

The Malaysian delegation was flown in by their own gov't / VIP transport, a 20-yr old Airbus A319 ACJ nicknamed Perdana1 or NR1. Operated by the Royal Malaysian Air Force, this aircraft is the designated "Malaysia's head of state aircraft" ferrying the prime minister or the ruling monarch for their overseas engagements. Like the other VIP planes, I'm seeing and catching this one for the first time too! 🤩🤩

✨ ️DAY 3 of my ASEAN 2026 planespotting adventures 🇰🇭 -- and today, we've got the Kingdom of Cambodia's delegation flown in by their own gov't / VIP transport, an Airbus A320 aircraft. Such a sweet treat as I'm seeing and catching this plane for the first time too! 🤩

Notably, the same aircraft actually came to the Philippines (specifically in Manila) a year ago for the prime minister's state visit. We are happy to welcome you here in Cebu this time around, PM Hun Manet! 🏝🏊‍♂️⛵️⛱️🌤

🔥🔥🔥 Indonesian delegation at the ASEAN 2026 -- fresh from the just-concluded Mactan, Cebu leg of the ASEAN Summit 2026, here are some snaps I have of Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Udara (Indonesia Air Force)' air assets that visited Cebu to ferry the Indonesian delegation.

Quite interesting to see a variety of aircraft from their fleet, including the newly-delivered A400M transport aircraft that came as an advanced party. But probably the most notable catch for me is the presidential aircraft, a B737-800 BBJ2, which I'm seeing for the first time ever! 🤩

In a span of 6 days on/off planespotting, I caught these aircraft:
✈️ A400M - x1
✈️ B737-800 - x1 (presidential aircraft)
✈️ B737-800 - x2
✈️ C-130J - x1
✈️ CN-235 - x1
✈️ Falcon 7x - x1
✈️ Falcon 8x - x3

💡DID YOU KNOW? 🤔 Emirates is in the process of deploying Starlink Wi-Fi across its fleet of B777s and A380s to deliver high-speed internet for their customers whilst up in the air. This means Emirates flyers, and I mean across all cabin classes, can now stream content, access social media, play games, make calls, and for employees like me, do some remote work, all at cruising altitude! 💻📲📧🎮

And ✨️ surprise surprise ✨️ earlier this week, the now Starlink-equipped B777 (A6-EPQ) landed in Mactan-Cebu International Airport from Dubai! I'm guessing the flyers were enjoying the inflight connectivity throughout their 8-hr journey, yes?!

This large-scale project began in November 2025, with the first Starlink-equipped B777 aircraft (A6-EPF) being displayed at the Dubai Airshow, in which I was able to attend! And just last month, the airline has announced that they've just completed the first rollout for their flagship A380. The entire project will see simultaneous installation of Starlink antennas in the next two years.

Aaaahhh I hope to enjoy this online lifestyle onboard when I get to fly with Emirates again! 🤩✈️
