Good morning,

This new book "The Traumatization of the Nonprofit World" has really had me digging deep into my thoughts. Even after 21 years in the nonprofit world, I had to go look up the meaning again. I also had to look up the meaning of trauma and it's extension "traumatization". Just to be sure what these two meant to each other.

After my searches, I realized there will be at least 15 chapters, if not more of my own experiences. Wow! What a ride this is going to be for me personally! One memory brings up another one, and they just keep coming. It seems I had forgot so much being in the midst of it all. These memories keep me writing everyday now.

I'm starting on my second book called "It's my rant, and I own it!

It will be a series of books under this title, and the first one will be called:

The Traumatization of the Nonprofit World!!!

It's time the world knows what "normal" people have to endure just to help others. Full disclosure, (I myself am strange and unusual) in my Lydia Deetz's voice, lol) Beetlejuice

To all you stop light runners, stop sign gunners, speeders and no sign readers, bumper stalkers and on the phone talkers, tread on those tires very carefully!

It only takes one time, one miss, one bump, one unexpected turn or brake failure to put the lights out on YOU, your car and some innocent driver(s)!!!

Double Take: It's my rant, and I own it;

Dear Xfinity, Comcast, I have been a customer for over 10 years, and I truly enjoy all of your services. Recently we have been having trouble with viewing our televisions because static takes over. We have been to the office in Marshfield Plaza a few times for help, promises made to send a technician out, but no one comes.

The representative at the site tried to help by calling a supervisor, but no one showed up. I got a text saying someone would, but again, they did not. Can you please help us out by extraditing this request? We would love to be able to watch our tv's without the extra colors!

It's my rant, and I own it;

Dear Illinois Department of Natural Resources, William W. Powers, and Wolf Lake Management. Can you please restock the lake with fish, please? I realize the lake itself is used for other activities, but fishing is the draw for people like my husband and I. Whenever we can get a break, we look forward to the short drive to the lake to catch at least "one" fish.

The surrounding areas are peaceful and well kept, we salute you for that, but again, a lake that big should have at least a few fish to round it out. Wolf Lake is very convenient, we just want to catch something, anything that is fish!

Please remember, you can't make anyone want to help you! If they don't want to, then there's nothing you can do to make them, if they "want to" there's nothing you can do to stop them.
I have had so many promises made but never fulfilled. I think they mean it when they say it, but in the end the promise just wasn't important enough. So did they really want to help? On the other hand, those who meant what they said, and said what they meant, it's so important to them that they push me to make it happen.
Thank you to those who thought we were important enough to keep your promise, and to those who didn't, we're better off because evidently we "WERE'NT" important enough!
