There’s a story…

A Native American girl had a picture of a map in front of the school.

This bully comes and tears up the map to shreds.

She slowly tapes it all back together, piece by piece.

Her teacher looks in awe, asking how she put it back together so well.

She flipped the map over, and on the back was a picture of a Native American.

She says, “You put the Native American back together, and the world will fit into place.”

I think the same is for all human beings.

You put the human back together, and our world will fall into place

~To culture or not to culture¿ That is the question.~

How can we culture environments that foster human and environmental potential?

I like to think of fermentation a lot like pursuing potential through the process of culturing. We create the container for a living organism (say yeast) to flourish. We nurture, feed, and shape it to help it become bread.

This is also true with how we hold space for ourselves, others, and of course nature.

Cultivating our environment is cultivating ourselves

Listening to nature is listening to ourselves

Therefore the question then becomes -

Are we culturing or being cultured?

We are a biproduct of our environments internally and externally.

So let’s culture it’s potential.
