Good news! After reviewing the new SRD v5.2 for the 2024 edition of 5e, I'm pleased to report that there is virtually NO IMPACT on any MageGate books. No updates are required to our old books, and the new rules don't mess up anything for the upcoming books. Phew! I've prepared a statement with the details below...
SRD v5.2 Compatibility Statement (for 2024 Rules)
All MageGate Games titles originally developed under SRD v5.1 for the 2014 edition of Fifth Edition D&D—including 250 Best Magic Items (Volumes 1–6), Extreme Encounters: Weather and Terrain, Game Master’s Guide to Traps and Terrors, Game Master’s Guide to Traits and Actions for Monsters and NPCs, Game Master’s Guide to Rites and Rituals, 5 Free Creature Traps, 5 Free Curios, Oddities, and Trinkets, 5 Free Elemental Templates, 5 Free Unearthly Templates, and Heirloom Magic Items—remain fully compatible with SRD v5.2.
In plain terms: our books work with both the original 2014 rules and the new 2024 rules.
These titles rely on core mechanics such as damage types, spell names, conditions, equipment, and creature features—all of which remain virtually unchanged between editions. No updates are required, and all content functions as intended with the 2024 System Reference Document (SRD v5.2) released under the Creative Commons 4.0 license.
Starting in mid-2025, all new 5e-compatible titles will be published under SRD v5.2. Wherever possible, we’ll continue to support functional compatibility with both the 2014 and 2024 versions of Fifth Edition to ensure a smooth experience no matter which ruleset you use.
