Closing in march 2020 due to the Covid pandemic, this hotel has a very dark history. Part of the central section of the hotel is made up of a Victorian property which has the original spire, whilst the rest of the building is much newer due to a refurbishment in 2009. On April 2nd 2021 a severe overnight fire broke out which destroyed the oldest part of the property taking five fire crews hours to extinguish. Prior to the fire a major investigation into complaints of crime, under-age drinking, drug taking and health and hygiene issues, with some of the issues highlighted included the hotel being linked to four child s*x exploritation cases being investigated by the police, high readings of co***ne, fighting and disorder and the flouting of fire regulations. Police found staff were generally young, unprofessional and poorly trained and had allowed older men to check in with young girls wi the out being challenged. As a result the hotels licence was temporarily suspended.

Hello here a picture off me and my son as you do 😂😂 I have just unfortunately lost one off my job out off the 2 I was doin 🤦‍♂️ the place I was working at has closed down fortunately that now have gave me a bit off spending time with my family not only that I can get back in to exploring again am not goin to lie I have missed goin out soo much so this weekend I will be out and about after month off hard work !!!
