A line of strong to severe storms looks to target our area. Today's event is looking like mostly rain and wind for central KY. South central KY could see severe storms and tornadoes. From middle TN to MS and AL, there's a risk for a tornado outbreak.

This is the worst case scenario for folks in Mississippi and Alabama. If you have friends and family there, please let them know what's coming tomorrow. This looks to be a MAJOR tornado outbreak for the deep south.

This is the first Day 2 high risk since 2012.

A tornado outbreak is coming tonight into tomorrow for many in the midwest. That tornado risk will spread to Dixie Alley tomorrow as well.

Far western KY will be at risk for some isolated strong tornadoes, damaging wind, and hail.

Central and West Central KY will still need to be weather aware and ready for destructive storms, too. We could certainly see some isolated tornadoes, damaging winds, and flooding rain. Tornadoes don't look at these risk maps to determine where they will hit.

The first wave will hit central KY overnight into tomorrow morning (2-5a). After those storms pass, we could see some clearing ahead of a strong wave of storms tomorrow evening. The signals are here for significant severe weather in our region! TAKE ALL WARNINGS SERIOUSLY and spread the word!

This weekend could get ugly... please be prepared. The greatest threat is damaging winds, which could exceed 70 mph. There's also a chance for some strong tornadoes in far western KY. However, you don't have to be in the red or orange zone to get a damaging tornado.

We have the potential for some nasty severe weather this weekend. All threats are possible, but high winds and heavy rain seem to be the biggest threats right now. Could we see some tornado action? Potentially. The tornado risk seems greater to our south.

After some cold this weekend, temperatures look very lovely for next week! We could make a run for the 80s! Don’t get spring fever too much, cold air is always lurking in March!

More cold before we see a warm up next week. We could see some 70s in the mix!! Beware, though, with the warm comes the storms! Might see some severe weather, too!

Warm temperatures and high winds expected today. A round of strong to severe storms will come through with wind gusts up to 60 mph. There may be another round of storms tomorrow that could also pack a little bit of a punch before turning over to snow late Wednesday into Thursday.

Will we see enough snow to get a snow day? Let’s hope not! But the timing may be right.

Our severe weather chances are increasing for Tuesday night into Wednesday! Greatest risk is wind damage with 60+ mph winds possible!

Happy Monday folks! If you think spring is here, you’ll wanna keep reading!

Our Monday is off to a very cold start with temperatures in the 20s. But we will see some sunshine and 50s throughout the day.

Tuesday, temperatures should wrap up a bit but so will the wind. As we progress into the evening and late night hours, a squall line of strong storms will likely pass through here. We could see some severe weather with heavy wind, hail, and potential tornadoes. The tornado risk is not high for our area, but it is not impossible.

For Wednesday, we may see some wraparound snows to follow up that system. Will we get enough snow to cancel school? That is a very interesting question!

I don’t think the snowfall will be heavy. And I am hoping for no snow days!

Be on the lookout for the potential of severe weather next week. It is looking like Tuesday or Wednesday. There may be a significant tornado outbreak in the deep south with some remnants getting all the way to Kentucky.
