God touched my journal… and it began to praise.”
**I WAS NEVER A SONGWRITER…**
I wasn’t in the choir. I didn’t know how to compose music.
All I had was a journal — and a deep love for Jesus.
Almost 10 years ago, I started writing about my journey with the Lord — raw, honest moments of how He found me, changed me, and walked with me through every season. It was never meant for anyone else. Just me and God.
But during a time of prayer and fasting, while quietly reading through those old journals and listening to worship music, something happened. I felt a trembling in my body, and then a soft whisper in my spirit:
**"Thank you for making Me the center of your journal... why not write a Psalm?"**
At first, I thought it was just for sharing in church. I had no idea — those simple words I began to write weren’t just reflections… they were lyrics. Worship. A song being birthed from my heart.
Still, I kept them hidden. I told myself, *“I’m not a songwriter. I can’t even write music.”*
But God… God isn’t looking for titles — just surrendered hearts.
Earlier this year, the Lord opened a door. Those journal-turned-lyrics found a melody. A song was born.
When I heard it for the first time, I wept.
I fell to my knees.
Because only God could turn private journal entries into worship that could touch hearts.
Now I understand — even just a little — what King David must have felt when writing the Psalms. Not because I compare myself, but because I finally see how God can breathe on simple words… and make them carry His presence.
**To Him be all the glory. Nothing is impossible.**
