Kongor Youth Agenda For Development- KYAD
Subject: Message of Appreciation.
With heart full of gratitude, I take this great opportunity to extend my heartfelt appreciations to Kongor Youth in Juba, South Sudan, for responding to my quest for service to my beloved community, precisely, the KYA.
Indeed, and if I could borrow the words of KUYA’s Chief Agent, Mr. Deng Gieu, that “election is a process, not an event”. I want to, on this note, appreciate efforts put into this particular exercise by the stakeholders that were involved; the IEC led by Mr. Ustaz Dut Atem Malek, agents of the two formations- KUYA and KYAD, the observers, and the security team. Your efforts cannot go unappreciated. I say thank you.
I also want to salute supporters of both political formations for having portrayed love for our community as evidenced in your conduct from when the electoral process began to the day of the ballot which was yesterday.
Elections normally divides along political lines, but I want to categorically assure all of us (KYA fraternity) that it’s responsibility incumbent upon me and my Executives to bring our community together. I will do this with the help of my brother, Jr. Dau Dhieu Kon. I am certain, we shall be able to deliver on the UNITY agenda that appeared in both manifestos.
To my brother, Jr. Dau Dhieu Kon, you’ve been an exemplary gentleman and have portrayed patriotism towards your community. I want to acknowledge that you are a LEADER, and you’ve been a worthy competitor in this race. I want to give you my word that I will work for our community to which you gave a lot for. I invite you to walk and work with me in this journey as we strive to take our community where it should be. And this job will begin with us talking to our supporters to unite and be one.
Last but not least, I want to thank those who voted for me. Thanks for the trust. I promise not to let our community down.
With thanks;
Mr. Bol Manyok Kongor
Chair-Elect, KYA, Juba, South Sudan
