Crowning Glory: Intramurals 2026 Awarding Ceremony🏆🏅

‎The Central Philippine State University (CPSU) – Hinoba-an Campus proudly concluded the Intramurals 2026 with awarding ceremony held on September 22, 2026, at the campus stage.

‎The awarding highlighted the outstanding achievements of students across Literary, Musical, Sports, Cultural competitions, showcasing the diverse talents and unwavering spirit of Cenphilians. Each category reflected not only skill and creativity but also the dedication and teamwork that defined this year’s intramurals.

‎The College of Agriculture and Forestry emerged as the Overall Back-to-Back Champion, garnering a total of 330 points. Following closely, the College of Computer Studies secured the 1st Overall Back-to-Back Runner-Up with 318 points, while the College of Teacher Education claimed the 2nd Overall Back-to-Back Runner-Up with 296 points. These results reflected the consistency, determination, and excellence of each college as they defended their titles with pride and resilience.

‎The intramurals ended with smiles on every Cenphilian’s face, as days of effort, sweat, and hard work finally paid off. Beyond medals and trophies, the event fostered unity and camaraderie among students. Though some may not have secured victory, everyone displayed true sportsmanship, humility, and respect—values that embody the heart of being a Cenphilian.

‎As the curtain closed on Intramurals 2026, one thing was clear: the spirit of competition may have ended, but the lessons of discipline, friendship, and resilience will continue to inspire every student long after the games are over.

EQUIPPING FARMERS AND FUTURE PROFESSIONALS: CPSU-HINOBA-AN CAMPUS CESP CAPS 2-DAY MUSHROOM PRODUCTION TRAINING

The Central Philippines State University (CPSU) - Hinoba-an Campus, through its Community Extension Services Program (CESP), successfully concluded the second and final day of the Mushroom Production Training in Barangay Asia, Municipality of Hinoba-an, shifting the culmination of the two-day seminar toward hands-on, field-level application.

Marking the end of the two-day initiative, the training highlighted a technical demonstration on the proper inoculation of mushroom growing bags—the process of introducing living mushroom cultures into a prepared growing medium—led by agriculturist and resident trainer Julius R. Alpitche, RAgr.
Following the lecture, attendees participated in a practical workshop to apply the inoculation techniques firsthand.Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness (BSAB) students alongside members of the BAUFFA and the faculty and staff served as the active participants, engaging in a collaborative open forum and a comprehensive post-training evaluation to wrap up the program. The two-day capacity-building initiative officially concluded with the formal distribution of certificates of participation to all attendees.

"Equipping our local farmers and upcoming agribusiness professionals with sustainable agricultural practices is vital for long-term food security and economic resilience," the training team noted.
"By adopting efficient, eco-friendly technologies like mushroom production, the community takes a significant step toward creating a more self-reliant and climate-smart agricultural sector."

CPSU-HINOBA-AN CROWNS MR. AND MS. PALABAN 2026, CELEBRATES TALENT AND CULTURE👑

The People’s Pagbanaag Activity Center stage came alive on September 21, 2026, as Central Philippines State University (CPSU) - Hinoba-an Campus students gathered for one of the most anticipated highlights of Intramurals 2026: the Mr. and Ms. Palaban pageant, held alongside a series of cultural and performing arts competitions.✨

The centerpiece of the day's events was the search for Mr. and Ms. Palaban 2026, where candidates represented their respective departments through poise, intelligence, and stage presence. Candidates showcased determination and pride, embodying the "Palaban" spirit.

At the conclusion of the pageant, Milben Jurolan of the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) was crowned Mr. Palaban 2026, while Janelle Nabasca of the College of Teacher Education (COTED) earned the title of Ms. Palaban 2026.

More than a day of competitions, September 21 served as a celebration of talent, teamwork, culture, and school spirit. The highlight day of Intramurals 2026 proved that the Palaban spirit extends beyond the playing field—it can also be seen on the stage, in every performance, and in every student who proudly represents their team.

CPSU-Hinoba-an Campus extends its thanks to Mayor Daph V. Reliquias for his constant support throughout the events and his unwavering dedication to empowering the youth and fostering academic and extracurricular excellence across the campus community. We also give thanks to all the coordinators, facilitators, faculty and staff, and to everyone who have been part of this succesful endeavour.

HAPPENING NOW:
Empowering local growers through sustainable agriculture!

Central Philippines State University - Hinoba-an Campus has officially kicked off Day 1 of its 2-day hands-on mushroom production training for members of the Barangay Asia United Farmers and Fisherfolks Association (BAUFFA) in Brgy. Asia, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental.

Spearheaded by the institution's Community Extension Services Program, this practical, capacity-building workshop brings together dedicated Agribusiness students, faculty, and staff alongside BAUFFA members to learn side-by-side.

Leading the collaborative initiative is Extension Services Coordinator Julius R. Alpitche, RAgr. Also present are BSAB Program Head May Ann Caliplip, MSA and Research Coordinator Jordan G. Apawan, MA.Ed., joined by the campus faculty and staff.

The program is designed to equip the community with essential skills in sustainable mushroom cultivation, fostering alternative livelihood streams and promoting agricultural resilience across the municipality.
