New Episode Out Now:
Pilots Under Pressure- Mental Health Reform in Aviation
with Chris Hastings & Brian Bomhoff of the Pilot Mental Health Campaign

The mental health of our aviation community is a conversation that’s long overdue—and one that can’t wait any longer.

In this episode of the Flying Midwest Podcast, we speak with two advocates at the forefront of reform, tackling the silent struggles pilots face, the stigma that keeps them grounded, and the critical legislation in Washington that could finally bring change.

This isn’t just about policy—it’s about people. Real pilots. Real stories. Real consequences.

Listen now and help us lift the mask.

This is an episode we didn’t plan to make.

There are moments in aviation that shake us all, and this past week has been one of them.

The aviation community is reeling after the mid-air crash in Washington D.C. As we sat down to record our next episode last night, we couldn’t ignore the weight of this tragedy.

In this special episode, we take a moment to pause, reflect, and honor those lost in this horrible event. While the investigation continues, in time we will come to understand what happened and through tragedy, find the knowledge to make the skies safer.

Our sincerest condolences to those lost, their families, friends, and peers. They are in our thoughts and prayers as are the controllers, first responders, and investigators who also have to work through this profound loss.
