🦆🐦🥯 Birds, Bagels, and Big Ideas, only in New York during Climate Week.
This week I joined Planeteer & Superorganism’s Birding + Bagels walk, where a flock of climate + nature people gathered at sunrise to spot warblers, sparrows, and the occasional raptor (plus plenty of pigeons doing their New York thing).
What struck me wasn’t just the birds, but how powerful it is to begin a global climate and policy week outdoors, in the city’s green spaces, tuning our senses into the living world we’re working to protect.
🌍 In the middle of skyscrapers and finance, these moments of awe and play remind us why we’re here and how much nature gives back to our wellbeing, creativity, and ability to connect across disciplines.
At Electrek Explorer, this is exactly what we map: how places make us feel alive, grounded, inspired. And events like this show how vital nature connection is - not only for conservation, but also for rethinking nature & climate solutions across tech, finance, art, and policy.
✨ Huge gratitude to everyone who came, from conservationists to investors, artists to policymakers.
Because sometimes the best way to hatch new ideas… is to go birding. 🐛;)
