The two pictures below show the waiting zones of two different airports.
The top one is from Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, and the one below is the waiting zone of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Here are a few differences I observed during the trip:

Thailand (Suvarnabhumi International Airport):

Smooth, automated immigration.
Clean, well-lit terminals with clear directions.
Friendly staff and fast luggage service, felt like a global hub – modern, efficient, and welcoming.

Bangladesh (Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport):

Manual immigration that takes time.
Infrastructure feels dated.
Luggage belts often crowded and information unclear.

There’s a clear need for improvement to match the warmth and potential of our country.

Airports are the first impression of a nation.
Thailand makes you feel like you’re entering a future-ready country. Bangladesh, unfortunately, still feels stuck in the past — but there’s hope.

Let’s dream of a day when our airports reflect our spirit, not just our history.

The Northern White Rhino once occurred in southern Chad, the Central African Republic, southwestern Sudan, northern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and northwestern Uganda. As recently as 1960, there were more than 2,000 remaining. However, poaching has led to their extinction in the wild.
