Hello, friends,
It's been some time since I've posted any new material here or anywhere for that matter. Being a writer and an independent publisher comes with a lot of responsibilities that sometimes get overshadowed by just the ordinary, everyday, and mundane exigencies of living day to day.
However, I've recently had an experience that has slowed me down and given me time to devote some time to publishing some new material and work on preparing more new material. A month ago, I had a total knee replacement and have been laid up at home rehabbing it, so I can return to work after Labor Day.
That has given me time to refine two chapbook collections that I've decided to put out into the world now: "Muse: The Sonnet Variations," born out of work that I did for my MFA thesis in 2009, and "American Dissent: Dissident Poetry," a combination of cast-off or rejected poems from my "The Naked Truth" chapbook and new material written since then. This week, I put both of them together using Kindle Create, and they are now available for pre-order on Amazon.
