I COLLAPSED IN CHURCH (EP. 2)

I paused abruptly- I began to see God's angels come in like a flood into the church from above, they were all coming towards me,

I saw the heavens open and a staircase that leads to the heavens was rolled out. An angel gestured for me to walk towards the stairs.

I came back to reality, and said calmly, "Holy Spirit have mercy" Immediately, I felt my spirit leaving my body.

I felt a very strong pull to walk on those stairs and follow the angels.

I dropped the microphone on the pulpit and followed them. As I began to walk up the stairs, I looked back, my body had dropped to the floor, I had fallen forward with the pulpit, my children and everyone in church had rushed to me, they raised me up and started to pray in tongues.

I stopped to look at them, as they prayed intensely, and I heard the angels beckon on me to keep walking forward.

"Don't be afraid, Victoria, the King of Glory awaits you." The angel said warmly.

I continued to climb the stairs, alas! I got to the Heavens! -The Heaven where God sits and uses the earth as His footstool!

The magnificent heaven where John talked about God's celestial glory, the place filled with mansions which Jesus said, "In my Father's house are many mansions...(John14 :2)

The place was filled with rare jewels, laced with beauty divine! The streets I walked on was made of gold and exquisite ornaments! This is Heaven!!

I looked down on earth and could see the people in church carrying my body to the hospital, they were all praying intensely.

My children were not left out, they too were praying, searching the Spirit- I had always told them to seek the HolySpirit first when issues arose especially when they didn't know what to do. Our mantra at home was 'ASK THE HOLYSPIRIT FIRST'.

I nodded my head in admiration, 'my children are well trained'.

I looked back to Heaven and the melodious voices I heard as I approached the Throne of Grace and Glory was unbelievable!

I felt a joy radiate through each of the angels there, the angels in Heaven are innumerable! Oh the 24 elders bowed every now and then saying, "You are worthy, Lord to receive all glory, honor and praise..."(Revelation 4:11)

I COLLAPSED IN CHURCH (EP. 1)

I was ready and so excited to preach that Thursday (March 10th, 2022). I had just completed 50 days of fasting and prayers for the new year ahead 2022.

That thursday, I was on the Church's minister rooster to preach! Woohoo!

Urm, but what do I preach? I had so many sermons, Lord what do you want me to preach?

I quickly reached out to my Bible study partners, my angels, my beautiful daughters, Taiye and Kehinde.

They shared what the Lord was teaching them, it was a confirmation for me- so I started to organize my sermon.

After work, we all ate and I started to write my sermon the way it would be preached.

I discussed each point with my twin daughters, and finally went on to dress up for church service.

We knelt down to pray as usual before going out -
"Father, we are about to go out now to church, go out with us and bring us back home safely, in Jesus' name, Amen"

And like that, we all went to church. By God's grace, we were there early, we opened the church doors, and the windows too. My son went to put on the generator and prepare the microphones for service, my last son went to the drums to warm up for service. My twin daughters sat behind me, by the window, taking in fresh air. I brought out my sermon book to read through.

Before long, the Pastor and his family arrived, we exchanged pleasantries, and I quietly turned back to my daughters asking them which title was best suited for the sermon, they responded , I nodded my head and faced forward again.

It was time for the service to begin, my daughters mounted the altar to begin praise and worship session. It was powerful.

I checked the time after some time, it was time to preach.
I walked up to the pulpit and sang one of my favorite songs, "If no be God by my side, where I for dey?"🎵🎼🎶

My daughters backed me up in the song and afterwards I started to lead the congregation in prayers- Let's begin to thank God - Let's ask God for mercy today -Say, "Father, help me to number my days..." - in Jesus name, we have prayed.

I began to pray finally before I would start to preach, -"Father, we thank you for today, Lord show us..."

I paused abruptly-

We Cried On Our Birthday.

We woke up with deep pain in our hearts, not physical but emotional, on our birthday last year (04/04/22)

Why?
25 days to our birthday, our mum suddenly transitioned.

Her usual morning practice on our birthday would be the gift of her voice wishing us a pleasant happy birthday.😄😄

After which, we would all march to our family prayer room to have our family morning devotion and in the course of it, our mum would say to us, "Taiye and Kehinde kneel down, let me pray for the both you"

The next 30-45 minutes would be filled with the voice of our beloved mother invoking the blessings of God upon us, and immediately after we stand up she would hug us so tightly and when we think the prayers were over, she would pray another round of prayers for us as she is hugging us. 😂😂

So, on this particular day, as soon as we opened our eyes and waited a few minutes to hear our mum's voice saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY and it was not heard, we started weeping.

Our brothers had to literally drag us from our beds to go to our prayer room and again it felt very lonely because our mother's loud voice of prayer was not heard and then we broke down in painful tears. Our dear brothers rather prayed for us. 😊😊

Immediately after our devotion, we received a voice note from our mum's younger sister cheerfully singing an Happy birthday song for us and again we broke down in tears and we said to her 'Who will pray for us now that Mama is gone?

She immediately called us and said, "Let's Pray"

Our dear readers, Appreciate the prayers you receive now, it's the little things that matter. You can be sure that those prayers will CERTAINLY come to pass. Never underestimate the power of prayers.

Also, one of the most precious gift you can ever give to us on our birthday (04/04) is your heartfelt prayer either through a call, voice note in our DMs etc showering on us the blessings of God.

Trust us, it would go a long way in making us joyful on our birthday. 😊

Dear Mama,
We created some skits where we spoke with two of our favourite in*******al couples.
You know its been hard resuming this passion ever since you transitioned, we simply lost the motivation and the will to continue what we all started together in the first place.

You were our director, producer manager for our skits.
You watched every single skit before it was published and you prayed over it.

Mama, we promise to make you prouder than a peacock and as we near the date of your departure (March 10th), You would boast loudly about the grace of God upon our lives to the cloud of witnesses in Heaven.
So help us God. Amen

How can one have two powerful emotions reside in him or herself side by side. It's like a landlord or landlady have two very opposing tennants living in the same compound!

Let us give you a perfect example.

Yesterday during our night devotion, this gospel song came to our spirits to worship God, 'Creator of the universe' by . This song is one of our mum's favourite songs, but as we sang this particular danceable song we felt a surge of both mixed emotions- Joy and sadness.

Sadness because, How can the one we loved the most no more be on this earth?, Why did God decide to take her at this point of our lives?

On the other hand, Joy because she is in the presence of the one who knows how to love best,
Joy because she has finished her race and has heard "Well-done Good and Faithful servant!"

Joy, because even on the day of her transition, she said unknowingly amidst beams of smiles, "Even if I die today, I know I have sooo many crowns in Heaven waiting for me". Little did we know she was speaking the mind of God.

Accepting the transition of our mother has been one of the hardest yet joyful experience for us. It is very hard to accept, however, when we think of where she is now, it brings us so much Joy.

Dear Fam,
It is okay to have two opposing emotions fight for the upper hand in your heart, but we URGE you to keep choosing JOY because that's what your loved one would have wanted for you and secondly, You are going to pull through this grief and come out stronger and better.
We love you and we are rooting for you.

Happy Valentine's Day!
Each year we would send a lovey-dovey text and surprise gifts to our mum on February 14th to celebrate Valentine's Day.

This year Valentine's Day hits differently though.

First thing in the morning, we get a notification on our phones from Google Photos on the previous year's Valentine's Day picture we designed for our mum which brought tears to our eyes.

Tears, because we miss her every second of our lives but also tears of joy because, she is experiencing the PUREST and GREATEST form of love ever from the originator of love Himself, Jesus!

In the same vein, today we surprised our our younger brothers like we would do to our mum.

Truly, it is the little things that matters and make lasting memories.

Perhaps you have lost a loved one too and have no one to share this special day with, be comforted that your loved one is in the presence of Jesus and is basking in HIS love.

Why do we pass through hard times?

Just like Mary (Jesus' mother) she was very special to God yet He didn't give her a 5-star hotel to deliver the son of the King of Kings!

Rather, He led her to a manger.

But the bible called her: Blessed, Highly favored

Mary was still VERY, VERY special to God regardless of what she passed through.

Dear Reader,
Your current situation is not your identity.

Your identity is in God.

You are very SPECIAL to God.

Irrespective of what you are passing through right now,

Even though you are crying,

Even though you are confused and angry at life, God.

You don't understand why things are not going the way you planned.

Listen to us, You are still very very special to God 🙏
