👕🌽 What if your next shirt came from a cornfield instead of a crude oil barrel?

Most of our clothes are made from polyester—a plastic derived from fossil fuels. It’s cheap, fast… and dirty and it’s costing us more than we think.

Now, innovators are turning to something unexpected: corn. Using a plant-based fiber called PLA, brands are exploring a future where fashion is renewable, biodegradable, and maybe even regenerative.

Is corn the future our closet needs?!

🥩🇦🇺 After nearly 20 years, Australia is reopening its market to U.S. beef—including meat from cattle born in Canada or Mexico but processed in the U.S.

The move was applauded by the U.S. ag sector—and former President Trump, who called it “undeniable proof” of American beef’s quality.

But will this actually lead to booming exports?
Probably not.

With high U.S. prices and Australia’s own beef industry, don’t expect American steaks to flood their grocery aisles.

Historically, Australia has no history of importing significant amounts of beef from any country. Australia is currently ranked 73rd on the list of beef importing nations. Last year its meat processors outsourced a paltry $3 million worth of beef, mostly high-end Wagyu cuts from Japan, for the hotel/tourist trade.

👀 Still, it’s a symbolic win for U.S. ag.

🚨 Oregon almost shut down farm stands + agritourism — but the people pushed back. And won. 🙌

The proposed land use change would’ve restricted things like U-pick, farm dinners, and even on-farm product sales. Basically, it would’ve made it way harder for small farms to survive — and for people to experience farm life.

Thanks to farms like who sounded the alarm, and the public who spoke up, the proposal has been halted (for now).

This is a huge win for rural economies, local food, and freedom to farm. But it’s also a reminder to stay alert. These types of policies can pop up *anywhere.*
