The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Antipolo National High School held its Oath Taking Ceremony on July 8, 2025, at the JICA Conference Building, around 1:00 to 2:30 PM.

Mr. Christopher R. Villaralbo opened the event with an inspirational message, encouraging the newly elected and appointed SSLG officers and committee members, reminding them to uphold the value of leadership—purpose, accountability, and dedication.

A total of 53 student leaders, along with their diligent SSLG adviser Mr. Alejandro N. Aycardo Jr., took their oath as they pledged to fulfill their duties with integrity, prioritizing change, wisdom, and commitment throughout the school year, led by Mr. Villaralbo.

“Malayo na, pero dapat mas malayo pa,” said by the SSLG President Princess Xyriel Asuncion, challenging her fellow officers and committee members to continue growing, learning, and striving to become better versions of themselves—not just as leaders, but as students with a vision for the future.

DOH Leads Dengue Awareness Drive at ANHS with 4Ts Campaign

The Department of Health (DOH) conducted dengue prevention drive at Antipolo National High School’s Lower Covered Court on June 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM. With the theme “4Ts: Taob, Taktak, Tuyo, Takip,” the campaign aimed to boost awareness among students and school personnel on the rising dengue cases and promote proactive habits to help curb its spread.

Guest speakers included Dr. Jen Mariel from the Philippine Heart Center and Dr. Rafael Soriano, who discussed the alarming increase in dengue cases nationwide. They emphasized the importance of prevention through the 4Ts approach: Taob (turn over containers), Taktak (empty stagnant water), Tuyo (keep surroundings dry), and Takip (cover water containers)—practical steps to eliminate mosquito breeding sites at home and in the community. ANHS Principal IV, Dr. Rowena B. Sison, expressed her gratitude to the speakers for sharing their expertise with the learners and staff of the school.

To end the event, DOH distributed anti-mosquito lotion and protective arm sleeves to participants. The program ended with a strong reminder: “Prevention is better than cure.” Simple daily actions can go a long way in protecting not just ourselves, but our entire community.

Antipolo NHS ignites Bayanihan with Brigada Eskwela 2025

Antipolo National High School kick-starts the Academic Year 2025-2026 with the Brigada Eskwela Week 2025. The opening program was held at the Lower Covered Court on June 9 to promote collaboration and a safe learning environment for the new school year.

With the theme “Sama-sama Para sa Bayang Bumabasa", Antipolo National High School acknowledges the importance of a strengthened reading culture as well as maintaining the cleanliness, security and safety, in a child-friendly institution.

With the help of the school staff, stakeholders, and students— Antipolo NHS is ready for the year ahead, prioritizing every learners’ meaningful academic journey, one page at a time.

Antipolo National High School officially started its Brigada Eskwela preparations with a student-led Hazard Mapping activity spearheaded by the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) team in collaboration with various school clubs and student leaders, led by the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG).

Held within the school premises, the activity tasked student leaders with identifying potential hazards in classrooms, corridors, and open areas in preparation for the upcoming school year. The initiative highlights the importance of learner participation in building a culture of preparedness and resilience, grounded in the belief that “safety is everyone’s responsibility.”
